You can read the full list of features below, but here are top 5 that stand out to me. Brushless Motor The latest generation* (*release summer 2017) Brushless Circular Saw from DeWalt. Capable of a massive 64mm depth of cut and approximately 100x cuts in 200mm x 50mm soft wood when used with a XR 5.0Ah battery (sold separately).

For blades, I've tried Saxton, Trend, deWalt, Makita (including the excellent, if pricey, Eficut blades), Freud and various low cost brands and TBH the most durable and toughest blades have got to be those yellow DW blades that Screwfix do. Good on price, too Empower your projects with Dewalt's robust lineup of drills, including the groundbreaking FlexVolt and 18V XR series. Whether you're drilling into wood, metal, or concrete, Dewalt drills offer precision and power to get the job done. The DeWalt DCS570 has the power to be a replacement for your corded sidewinder model. A worm drive will still have more torque and both the DeWalt FlexVolt Circular Saw and Makita 18V X2 LXT Rear Handle Saw will give you a power boost. However, it gives DeWalt 20V Max users a good reason not to jump ship on DeWalt’s deep flagship cordless line. Achieve intricate detailing and flawless edges with Dewalt routers. These tools are trusted by professionals for their precision and control. From grinding to cutting, Dewalt angle grinders offer versatility and power, including options from the FlexVolt and 18V XR lines. Ensure efficiency and precision in every application. Keep your Dewalt tools powered up with our range of batteries and chargers, including options compatible with FlexVolt and 18V XR tools. Cut away guard lifts when in use for increased visibility. When not in use it covers the blade for safer storageCutaway guard lifts when in use for increased visibility. When not in use it covers the blade for safer storage I have recently found Saxton really good for multi-tool blades and a recent mitre saw youtube review should them better than the Freud, so i may invest in saxton saw soon. Explore a wide array of Dewalt accessories to enhance the functionality of your tools. From drill bits to saw blades, we have you covered. As an aside it has to be said that cordless saws do require thin kerf blades (1.4 to 1.7mm) to get any sort of run time worth having. However, these blades are all but impossible to resharpen, I'm told, and they don't take too well to hitting nails, screws or grit inclusions on the timber (although the yellow DW blades do ressonably well andfar better than, say, Makita"s offerings), they often cost more than comparable quality full kerf blades and they don't last as long, either. This can make running a cordless rip saw a tad pricey agsinst using a corded saw and occasional DIY and its been really great, and with a guide cuts really well, using the freud blade, although I also have a few 24t dewalt blades

One issue with the FlexVolt circular saw is that the coating on the base plate doesn’t slide as easily as we’d like. The aluminum plate on this model doesn’t suffer from that issue and we find it easier to glide across material than its more powerful brother. The Bottom Line If you’re thinking the DeWalt DCS570 has a strikingly familiar appearance, you’re absolutely right. Essentially, this is the fraternal twin brother of the FlexVolt 60V Max Circular Saw – nearly identical with different motors. Of course, this DeWalt 20V Max circular saw is on the 20V platform, not the 60V, so I expect some loss of power. The question is whether this is the 6-1/2-inch model with a bigger blade or if the new motor has some additional torque behind it with its brushless motor. The major features are all present with the XR brushless motor and a blade brake highlighting things along with bevel detents. I’m a little disappointed that there’s no rafter hook, but the performance and ergonomics are enough to overcome that minor complaint. The brushless motor has to be there in this class. Ridgid’s Gen5X model came out with a 4-pole brushed motor and did okay, but brushless is really what you need if you’re going to go for a head to head comparison to what Pros expect from corded models. The DeWalt DCS570 is a hand-held circular saw for wood and other building materials. You use it wirelessly with 18V batteries. DeWalt DCS570 - The Lowdown:

Kenny’s life around power tools started early. His grandfather was an airplane mechanic in WW2 and took up woodworking as a hobby after retiring from the power industry. Building everything from bookshelves to lazy Susans, he became extremely accomplished while his young grandson observed, fascinated at the way raw wood could turn into something both beautiful and functional. In fact, Kenny still uses several pieces that his grandfather made more than 30 years ago. If i had my time again, i would probably go brushless, I had thought XR - eXtra Runtime was brushless, but very soon after purchasing the jigsaw and circular saw discovered i was wrong. Make fastening tasks a breeze with Dewalt nail guns. These tools provide speed and accuracy for all your nailing needs. Get the torque you need with Dewalt impact drivers.
