She enjoyed that she'd survived the ordeal of the party and wouldn't have to do anything else so annoying for at least another three months. Until, as Bea had hinted, the next fiscal quarter. Is everything all right out here? I thought I heard someone shout." Bea's voice was like a chorus from the heavens in Ella's ears. But the shadows of my past haunted me, making me afraid to explore the possibilities I could never before have imagined.

These narrators did an exceptional job! Both were able to switch smoothly from male pov to female pov without a disruption in my enjoyment of the story. Jeffrey’s voice was exactly as I would imagine Alexander’s to be and he brought the character to full dominate life. Lacy’s voice was sweet, innocent and perfect for the uncertain and confused Krystina. When emotion was called for both of these narrators allowed their voices to flow with the full depth of characterization. I could not have asked for better rendering than this duo.

Pulses of restless energy battered at her weakened barriers, but she refused to let them overwhelm her. If they did, not only would she be unable to fend off Stanley's advances, but she'd also find herself barely able to function for days, if not weeks, to come. I supposed every honeymoon period had an expiration date, and it seemed as if Alexander and I had reached the end of our bliss. Words can not express how truly excited I was when I learned the Heart of Stone series was continuing on with the triplets. And the first book to continue on with is the beloved only son? SIGN. ME. UP. Ethan looks like his handsome dad, but his work ethic? Well as long as it involved beautiful models, he's good to go. He's a playboy, with no intention of settling down. Until he meets Summer. Lines blur, feelings erupt and what we are left with is an epic love story fit for a Stone.

Summer is sweet, hardworking, reliable, lonely and caring. She isn’t sure what her life is going to be like when she loses her job, but she will get help from someone unexpected. Summer likes Ethan a lot and she loves spending time with him. She still tries to protect her heart a little, so I understood some of her decisions. I adored Summer and Ethan together! Summer is the assistant to the "boss from hell" editor of Belle fashion magazine on location shoot in Australia. Ethan Stone, the son of Tristan and Nina Stone is the photographer. Somehow Ethan and Summer have a one night stand and turns it into a fake relationship that doesn't stay FAKE for long. Most days, things went perfectly smoothly. It was only at times like this, when she had to deal with a special event and potential donors, that Ella ended her day feeling as if she'd been dragged behind a car over a field of broken glass. Today I have that feeling, you know the one, where you waited so long for something, and now that you have it...that bittersweet what now feeling?

Mr. Stanley. You startled me," she managed after a minute, once her vocal cords had unclenched and restored her power of speech. "I had no idea anyone was still here. The event ended almost an hour ago." Taming the Playboy or did she? Hard as Stone by K.M. Scott is about moving forward and finding love along the way. Overall, I would have liked a little more originality from the author but there was so many wonderful things about this book. I loved listening to these narrators and they made this listen a pleasure and I look forward to more of their performances. You know, that pleasant little scene never would have happened if you'd been doing your duty," she griped half-humorously to the silent guardian. "You're supposed to repel evil. Talk about lying down on the job."

Ethan and Summer are amazing characters. Ethan is rich, passionate, caring, talented and troubled. He loves being a photographer and he’s amazing at it. He will never be the businessman his dad is, no matter how much his dad wished that to be the case. Ethan is a player and he can get any woman he wants. Summer is different. Ethan wants to really know her and to be with her all the time. Heart of Stone......where to begin. For starters, I love it and it's nothing like 50 Shades. It's much more in my opinion. You know I love a good spanking book ;).

This is a fantastic addition to the Heart of Stone series, but it can be read as a standalone. It was great to get another glimpse of my favorite couple and even greater to get to know their children. I cannot wait for more in this series. I am betting that Tressa will be giving some man a hard time and Diana's story will be a tear jerker. But that didn’t mean I didn’t want to make her my wife. She exemplified the triskelion, representing my past, my present, and my future.Without her, I am nothing. This is a brilliant debut novel by Dakota Willink. While reading this book, I was put through a multitude of different emotions from good to bad. I was truly captivated by this story & how the two characters were trying to find their way. As I'm writing this I feel stunned by what I read. It isn't that it's another dark romance dealing with BDSM but how Ms. Willink wrote the book. I would definitely recommend this book. The book is meant for mature readers. Despite this being a long book, it maintained its momentum throughout and the story built to its conclusion which sets the scene for the next instalment. I'm not a huge fan of BDSM themed books but this is subtly explored and despite a visit to a sex club, the author didn't over emphasise the experience and, despite Krys’s innocence, the scene did not make me feel uncomfortable. Yes, this book ended on the inevitable Cliffe which came after an intriguing night out and an unexpected confrontation. The next instalment is already calling to me and I can't wait to see what's in store next for Alex and Krys.

Everything I believed was nothing but a lie.The strangling grip of chaos squeezes until I can’t breathe.I don’t know who I am anymore. This book. This story. I have been trying to put all the pieces together since book one. I mean how in the world was Rembrandt going to get his happy ending? And would it look the same as the very beginning? It's extremely hard to talk about this installment of the book, well any of them honestly, without giving spoilers. So, I'll just say this - this ending was better than I could have imagined. I mean, there were moments I was barely breathing, but for good reason. The way the characters were all brought together, how the bad guys were found, the story behind why everything had happened, and even a surprise twist that I just kind of sat there for awhile smiling about. He wasn’t supposed to be there when I fell. I wasn’t supposed to get lost in a sea of sapphire blue when he helped me up. And he wasn’t supposed to be Alexander Stone, the New York billionaire real estate tycoon. I'm still trying to grasp everything in this last story! You wonder how authors will bring so many threads together of a story, and they did it seamlessly. All of the dots connected and came together in a last ditch effort for Rem to find a time he could live in.

Krystina is a recent graduate who, now needing to secure employment, is currently working in a store. It's in that store that she first comes face to face with Alexander Stone. A businessman and entrepreneur, he is a property investor stepping in to save the family business where Krys works. After an embarrassing first introduction, for Krys, Stone sees something in her innocence and beauty that makes him question his beliefs about relationships. This book really asked some deeper questions of Rembrandt and his faith in God. Of all the books, this last one definitely has the most about faith and prayer than the others. It's always interesting how the authors incorporate faith into a sci-fi novel. Not Your Ordinary Faerie Tale is a delightful read from the first word to the last. Christine Warren has created two amazing characters, given them an incredible plot and laced the story with witty conversations, lots of snark and a hefty portion of danger.” — Single Titles
