The edge of the mat is where my only complaint resides. A fair amount of premium mousepads come with a soft embroidered edge and the G840 does not. This gives it a much cleaner and modern look but leaves a harsh edge that over time I have found rubs harshly on my wrist and arms. This has subsided some amount as the edges have started to fray and soften ever so slightly in the areas I rest on most frequently, but it is still not the most comfortable of experiences. As a bonus, the tube the G840 comes in is extremely sturdy and is intended by Logitech to be used to transport the G840 if needed, No huge matter but an extremely handy accessory to keep around.
