Description

Building on the success of the HPI Trophy Truggy, the HPI Trophy Flux brings brushless power to the renowned HPI platform!

The car is your typical 1/8 scale buggy design with 3 gear differentials that can be filled with different diff oils to change the handling of the buggy. This drive train design has also proven to be near built proof over many years. Please note: This HPI vehicle is designed to provide water protection so it can be driven in wet conditions (e.g. rain, snow, puddles). Not for submersion. Nitro engines are splash protected and require extra care when running in wet conditions. See manual for details.

a 4.6 .28 engine will fit in the trophy with ease. (just liek the hypers with .28 engines ect) and will handle the extra power, but its weather you can

as for race rollers, it depends who you ask. Losi 8ight's and 8ight 2.0 are most common everywere iv race. Iv owned and raced a losi 8ight, but poersonally it didnt suit me, also losi suffer from the classic losi wobble were everything wobbles lol meaning bits need replacing frequently. Originally we were just for the Trophy 4.6 Truggy, but as the Trophy 3.5 Buggy is so similar, we let them in too!! And HPI are also releasing electric versions of the cars, who are going to be welcome here!! I am also new to this game and got a HPI trophy 3.5 for xmas aswell, and had the same problems. Mine ran for one tank of fuel but was really "lumpy" and any throttle increase made her stall. I then tried a second tank but she wouldn't start even with a third throttle. My issue was with a duff glowplug, and the mixture wasn't rich enough. After an adjustment of the HSN and a new medium glowplug she runs like a dream. She still needs final tuning, but at least I have had two tanks of fuel through her to get oval runs done. The HPI Trophy range of off-road racers has been updated with the latest in 2.4GHz radio technology, waterproof servos and a waterproof receiver & battery compartment! That's right: one of our most popular nitro kits ever now has been upgraded to make it a performer just about anywhere!Theres also the Associated rc8, Xray 808 hyper 9 ect... again who you ask will give a different response. Iv owned a few associate cars (b44, tc5r to name a few) and tbh that put me off for life, but thats me. The 808 looks stunning but i think its dated to some now, but they released an overhal kit to upgrade it. A fantastic list of hop-ups can be found here, it also includes non-HPI stuff: http://www.beatyourt...ium-hop-up-list The drivetrain used in the Trophy 3.5 buggy is a full-time four-wheel drive shaft-type drivetrain. The shaft drivetrain is the best option for a kit that’s expected drive through mud, water, dirt, grass, snow or gravel! The entire drivetrain is supported by high quality ball bearings for extra efficiency, so you get the the maximum speed and acceleration possible, and the most out of every tank of fuel!
