Couch, Aaron (July 21, 2021). "DC's 'Injustice' Sets Cast for Animated Movie (Exclusive)". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved July 21, 2021. Damian Wayne appears in Infinite Crisis, voiced by James Arnold Taylor. Damian Wayne is the equivalent of Robin from the "Nightmare" universe, and appears as one of the available "champions". Damian is shown to have highly advanced engineering skills, as he was able to complete his father's plans of building a flying Bat-mobile, the construction of which Alfred described as "being an endless source of frustration to Damian's father". Damian is also a capable businessman despite his young age, being involved with Wayne Enterprises and its board members. I’m going to discuss the plot of Batman: Son of the Demon (BSOTD) in pretty close detail, so consider this a SPOILER WARNING!

After Grayson freed Damian from his responsibilities, Talia revealed to her son that she had begun cloning him after realizing that he had completely sided with his father's circle during their confrontation. She was too much of a perfectionist to love her son after he defied her in such a manner, and Talia declared him no longer welcome in the House of al Ghul. This one’s actually not a bad comic. The more I read of Mike Barr’s Batman, the more surprised I am that it’s not the absolute garbage I keep expecting. I think I just got off on the wrong foot with him by starting with one of the worst Batman books ever written, Year Poo Two! Damian possessed superpowers similar to that of Superman following his resurrection, though this was short-lived. However in the current Batman Vs Robin comic, he is shown to have magic abilities. On the surface Batman is in charge. In reality Batman—"the detective," as Ra’s fondly likes to call him—is completely in the dark about almost every event that unfolds. For almost the entire story, he’s expertly manipulated by Ra’s and Talia. Ra’s has always wanted Batman as his heir. Here he gets his wish. He easily manipulates Batman into: This incident has deeply hurt both Damian and his mother, Talia, who had to watch her father get murdered even though he finally made the right choice for the first time in his life and was willing to turn a new leaf for his family's sake. In her grief, she gathered all the members of the League of Assassins and put a hit on Deathstroke as well as all of his associates in revenge for killing her father. On the other hand, Damian has teamed-up with his father, who wasn't fully convinced that it was the real Deathstroke that killed Ra's al Ghul, to investigate the murder and find out who was really behind it. A classic Batman villain is murdered in Shadow War Alpha #1 - but did Deathstroke do it?". March 29, 2022. Terror, Jude (January 21, 2022). "Robin #10 Preview: Dysfunctional Family Reunion". Bleeding Cool News And Rumors . Retrieved April 4, 2022. Damian Wayne appears as a playable character in Lego DC Super-Villains, voiced again by Stuart Allan. Damian Wayne has claimed he is "light-years ahead of all the past Robins in skill and training". Damian was trained by his mother and the League of Assassins to be a Killer. He no longer kills but will kill if necessary unlike Batman. Damian has said he knows as many martial arts as Batman. In Batman and Robin, Damian's mother has several medical staff members on standby in case Damian is hurt; she has cloned organs for him in case he loses any vital ones.

In the DC Rebirth Batman Beyond series, Damian has succeeded his grandfather as the new Ra's Al Ghul. However, after an antagonistic encounter with his estranged father and the new Batman, Terry McGinnis he reforms and partly reconciles with Bruce. Before Morgan can kill the boy, Batman drives through the side of the ship and begins battle. He ultimately defeats Morgan, only stopping from killing the man after the realization that Damian is still watching what is happening. As they begin to leave, Morgan taunts Damian, saying he will return some day to kill the both of them, further angering Damian by provoking him to kill him. Ultimately, Robin decides to end the man's life, apologizing to his father for killing once again. In the aftermath, Batman and Talia al Ghul fight over Damian's body, with Talia stealing his remains from their resting spot alongside Bruce's parents. Through the course of Batman and Talia's conflict, Darkseid and the minions of Apokolips become involved, and Damian is resurrected by the power of an artifact called the Chaos Shard. Not long after this, Talia posed as a servant for the Penguin, hoping to steal the loot from the criminal. Her ultimate goal was to use the money to release her father from prison and rebuild his empire, but in the end, she helped Batman capture the Penguin and left empty handed. [8] Bat-Murderer

Not Your Fight Batman

Damian's origin was unknown to Batman. Damian was genetically perfected and grown in an artificial womb to be the perfect warrior. He is raised by his mother Talia al Ghul and the League of Assassins. He becomes a talented martial artist before his teenage years, at which time Talia reveals Damian's existence to Bruce Wayne and leaves him in his custody in an effort to disrupt his work. Damian is killed battling a brutal enemy, the Heretic (an adult Damian clone) in issue number 8 of the second volume of the Batman, Inc. comic book, which went on sale February 27, 2013. According to the story's writer, Grant Morrison: "He saves the world. He does his job as Robin. He dies an absolute hero". [63] [64] Talia was eventually drawn to Gotham City after she learned that the international terrorist known as Qayin was operating in the city. While in Gotham, Talia came across Batman and the two of them worked together to bring down the criminal. Their quest brought them to meet with Ra's, and Batman learned that Qayin was the man who murdered Talia's mother.

What's interesting is that a recent follow-up tweet from Gunn showed off some of the comic book stories that are influencing the films which are currently in development - including Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert's Batman run, which is where Damian first became Robin and was even shown as eventually becoming Batman in the future, in his adulthood. Batman fits into this surprisingly well. He’s already committed to acting outside of legal norms. He also has a history of flaunting international norms. In fact, Mike W. Barr, already showed us a Batman willing to quit the Justice League because it refused to act in a foreign country, Markovia. 6 When Ra’s installs Batman as the head of his organization, he relishes the opportunity. The relationship goes far beyond a temporary alliance to find the killer of a scientist in Gotham. This is an opportunity to bring his brand of justice beyond the narrow confines of Gotham, to the whole world. He immediately takes the reigns, and begins to re-make the organization in his own image, by training them in "non-lethal" combat. While Batman was successful in preventing the assassination of Superman, he was unable to stop Nyssa from killing Ra's. This, in turn, was actually part of a greater plan concocted by Ra's, who wanted to ensure that his daughters would accept their destinies as his heirs, and take up his genocidal campaign. Realizing and accepting this, Nyssa and Talia become the heads of The Demon and led the League of Assassins, with Talia disavowing her love for Bruce Wayne as another result of her torture at Nyssa's hands. The two sisters both declared Batman their enemy. Interestingly enough, this story wasn't considered canon until years later when writer Grant Morrison and artist Andy Kubert brought Damian into their Batman run - more on that momentarily. Damian Wayne is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, created by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert, commonly in association with Batman. He is the son of Batman and Talia al Ghul, [3] [4] [5] [6] and thus the grandson of Batman villain Ra's al Ghul and the potential inheritor of Wayne Enterprises. [7] With the al Ghuls citing Bruce Wayne as the optimal successor to their empire, [8] [9] [10] [11] after faking a miscarriage to his father and calling off their marriage, [12] Talia has kept his existence hidden from Batman until Batman #656 (2006). In turn, the character is revealed to have originally been intended to "kill and replace his famous father," [13] as well as serving as a host body for Ra's al Ghul, [14] [15] thus, in theory, unifying the Wayne and Demon factions as intended by the al Ghuls. [16] [17] Set hundreds of years ago, Ra’s was once the kind and gentle Middle Eastern doctor to the Salimb (an Arabic king) – middle middle middle, he becomes the evil Demon’s Head who hates Batman and wants to destroy humanity.
