I'd love to say that by wearing this perfume I too became the epitome of elegance and femininity, but funnily enough it didn't immediately transform me into a classy stunner upon wearing it. Knowing it had saffron in it, I was afraid to test it at the time because I thought the chances of loving it (and therefore needing to purchase it) were extremely high. TLDR: If you love non-sugared DRY floral woody scents that give off a shampoo-ey vibe like Versace Crystal Noir, Estee Lauder Sensuous, Chanel No 19, etc.

I feel transported to a dream land where it's a cloudy, foggy spring day and all the plants are coming back to life in a misty forest. I'm far from being a goth girl, infact I am the total opposite almost, but it would suit goth-style beauties, like Amy Lee (Evanescense) exceptionally well, and I also see it wearing just as beautifully on women like Dita von Teese, Megan Fox or even the late Elizabeth Taylor, all of whom are pale skinned, dark-haired beauties with intense, bewitching eyes. Everyone seem to say this has great sillage and amazing longevity but I really have to dip my nose into my skin to smell something.

I got a soft, powdery spiced vanilla with a "cold" lily in the background, smells sophisticated and lovely but far too mainstream. This is because of the saffron and the thyme, which give dry and leathery nuances, much used in men's fragrances. Similar to Muglers Angel which I love as well but not the same at all, if you like sweet and spicy, this will probably be a hit for you. The dry down is super fresh, almost ozonic and its so weird compared to what you smell in the beginning which is super sweet and cloying. lol They Just Can't Help But Ooogle After You, As This Mysterious Sexy Aroma Hit's Them Fully Between The Eyes, As You Waft Pass!it literally smells like hot dry curry spices on my skin, it's also SO dry that it goes down the back of my throat and makes my throat dry, it was enough to make me need a sip of water.

First spray is like lots of herbs like saffron and thyme on a lovely velvety base of vanilla and tonka bean. At first I didnt like it , thought it was too masculine , vintage and floral so I gifted it to my mom .When I first tried it I thought "wow this is so intriguing i like it" but after wearing it a few times I felt the fragrance was wearing me. The florals, saffron and thyme come out for a little kick, but they're not as irritating as the pepper note in Crystal Noir. Ange ou Démon is complete: beautiful bottle, high projection, absurd lasting, impeccable fragrance and Givenchy quality. As it dried down, it had a myrrh quality that was resinous and a bit like incense then the orchid took over.
