Description

The Blood Angels can utilise two unique Rites of War – The Day of Revelation and The Day of Sorrows. The Day of Revelation Brother Glorian - A member of Squad Ottavos of the Veteran 1 st Company, this Terminator-armoured Veteran has fought amongst the Archangels for over two standard centuries. In that time he has participated in the cleansing of Space Hulks, the slaying of Traitor governors and rebel warlords, and the defeat of xenos despots beyond count. Most famously, it was Glorian who slew the Haemonculus torturer Gyloch Xuld, hurling the fiend's broken carcass into the caldera of a bubbling volcano to ensure he could never be resurrected.

Hammer of Baal - Karlaen's Thunder Hammer is an ancient relic of the Blood Angels Chapter, given to him by Dante as a mark of his honoured place as Captain of the Archangels. Sergeant Caemus - A squad leader of the Veteran 1 st Company, Caemus and his Sternguard Veteran Squad are able to lay down a prodigious amount of firepower. Supporting the massed Terminator assaults of the Archangels, this unit adds formidable ranged hitting power with a host of fearsome Heavy Bolters, Heavy Flamers, Multi-Meltas and Bolters.Pre-Heresy Luna Wolves Legion Terminators wearing Cataphractii Pattern Terminator Armour in battle.

These implacable warriors were fortress-breakers of unparalleled skill. The bleak spectacle of these warriors wading through storms of lasfire and shell, stoically smashing apart any obstacle before them with Chainfist and krak blast, became synonymous with Primarch Perturabo's wrath unleashed.Heavy Flamer (as replacement for Storm Bolter, only one Terminator in five in a squad may take this heavy weapon) Fulmentarus Terminator Strike Squads were an elite heavy support formation of Terminators that was utilised exclusively by the Ultramarines Legion during the late 30th and early 31st Millennium. The Fulmentarus Terminator Strike Squads could be seen as one of the many examples of the genius of the XIII th Legion's Primarch Roboute Guilliman. Legend tells that once the Terran system was secure, and the process of rebuilding firmly in hand, the galactic conquest of the Great Crusade began. Faded techno-arcana of the Adeptus Mechanicus tell that even before the Age of Strife had ended, the Emperor had started to make provisions for His Great Crusade to reunify Mankind. T he period immediately after Horus rebelled was a maelstrom of confusion, betrayal, and tragic misunderstanding. Nowhere was this apparent than on the isolated world of Canopus.

Moving into the 90’s, Space Hulk received a facelift, bringing it firmly into the grim darkness of the far future. The rules were streamlined, some new mechanics were added, and the models were updated.Movement is made possible through the complex synthetic fiber-bundle muscles of the armour, which allow a properly-trained Astartes warrior to fight with deadly strength and skill in cramped, close-quarter conditions, where this armour excels at providing protection and resiliency. Having joined his Legion, the bodyguard followed, being formed into an Honour Guard of Terminator elite, known informally as the "Shadow Wardens." It was said that they were ever present, though often unseen when their Primarch went to war, and that none could avoid their gaze. Because of the rarity of Tactical Dreadnought Armour, only the members of the Veteran 1st Company of a Chapter may wear such a suit as serve as part of a Terminator Squad, though Force Commanders, Chaplains and Librarians may also equip such armour. When the IX Legion were on the brink of being overwhelmed in some desperate battle or conflict, they would be staunch to the last, and refuse to die without bleeding their enemies dry. Such days – “days of sorrow” – would always be remembered in the annals of the Legion’s history. As the Signus campaign robbed the Legion of its main strength, such days of sorrow became, sadly, more common. This Rite is intended to represent this.
