Overall, I definitely recommend this if you want something fun that provides a sexy twist on The Bachelor with a high fantasy fae romance. The convos between Ava and Shalini are hilarious and I can't help but be happy for Ava for having such a great best friend. The Seelie Court, Faerie, and its magic are nicely portrayed, making readers feel like they're there too. But then signs of a burglary are discovered, and Frost senses there’s more to the story than meets the eye – even though the only thing taken was a worthless amateur painting.

This contemporary, girl-power story has light paranormal and fantastical elements and is fueled by a captivating mystery and adventure. We get to see other robots who are attempting an uprising against humans - to see what their idea of humanity is, is pretty fascinating. Like i stated in the beginning, i'm not very into reading because there is nothing good to read about, but this book made me go home and read and enjoy it! Cinder meets The Walking Dead in a chilling futuristic fairy tale that will reboot everything you thought about family, love, and what it means to be human.

I usually don't mind fast paced but when it's done alongside a slow burn romance, it needs to be done delicately in my opinion.

It works really well for getting the reader invested in Cassie, it’s just that I always want more history in my books! These Frost books actually make me laugh out loud, it is easy to get to know the characters and remember who you are reading about because he doesn’t bring in too many too quickly, he doesn’t waste time with long winded descriptions of rooms etc. King Torin is hot and so fucking sexy and I love the whole cold shoulder vibe because it hides a dark and sensuous side that when brought out is flame worthy! Everything was pretty much status quo for her until her robot Bunt told her that her beloved pet Romes was dying. There is supposed to be a sequel coming out in the near future, and I’m curious to know what Frost is going to do since she is pretty much on her own now. the buildup and chemistry between Ava and Torin is everythinggggg i was literally screaming NOW KISS at my kindle.

Join my Readers’ Club and as a thank you, you can download Mine to Keep, the prequel to my debut novel The Butterfly Storm, for free. Ava and Shalini both are women I can completely relate to, especially since they love reading (and especially smut). I said before in my WWW Wednesday post this past week that I’m not the biggest fan of journey-type plots, and, so far, all books with that type of formula have seemed to become my least favorite books. Honestly, a little spice would've saved this book because whenever the main characters talked sex, they got some personality to themselves. Determined to save her pet, Frost and Bunt venture out into the city plagued with cannibals and rogue robots. He'll choose 100 fae women to compete in a tournament, which will be televised to the humans for the first time every. The school and the island are fantastic settings: readers will be bursting to visit Bloodstone Island, with its rare creatures and old secrets. To help him investigate the case of the missing child, Frost has been assigned a new sidekick, the Chief Constable’s nephew.

This article includes a list of references, related reading, or external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks inline citations. After the destruction, Frost has been stuck in her apartment for years with her robot, Bunt, when suddenly her pet, Romes, falls ill. Of the four books, FROST is perhaps my favorite - and the one for which I'd most like to see a sequel. As Torin helps her maneuver through the bride trials, she is met with snarky rivals and a mysterious assassin intent on plucking off the competition. Also despite this being labelled enemies to lovers I didn’t think they were really all that more wary adversaries that had hit off on the wrong foot making snap judgements. It wasn't the most original or intricative of stories (although all the princesses and their clans were a bit confusing), but I loved it. The ending and moments leading up to it were some capturing scenes I wasn’t expecting, yet they were delivered perfectly.
