Description

This gel formula is ideal for tiles and grout, because you can apply it exactly where it needs to go. The nozzle is tapered for precision application, and the gel consistency keeps it from sliding or running all over the place. It is safe for a variety of surfaces in addition to tile and grout, such as glass, toilets, and some countertops. It doesn’t contain bleach, but it is still a good idea to test it on a small, discreet area before applying it all over the surface. Mould is a type of fungus that flourishes in humid conditions, such as kitchens and bathrooms. Once it takes root, it will continue to grow until measures are taken to remove it. It’s a common sight in many homes, particularly in rooms that are prone to damp and heat, such as kitchens and bathrooms. It’s caused by an excess of moisture, with common triggers including condensation and excess humidity. Poor ventilation and rising damp can also contribute towards mould. To use, just spray from the ready-to-use spray bottle, and let the solution sit for a few seconds. Wipe away any mold or mildew with a rag. You shouldn't need to scrub heavily, even on stubborn stains. The product was originally developed in 2013 by Chris Atkinson, the founder of RMR-86, who worked in restoration and remediation.

It can be used on a wide range of non-porous surfaces, including walls, tiles, shower curtains, grout and window frames. With regular use, the product promises to not only eliminate existing mould but also keep its likelihood of return low – though we couldn’t test this ourselves. Application is easy too. Carefully apply the product to the affected area – we tested it on the bathroom grout – then leave it for a few minutes before wiping it clean. Apply the mould removal product to the area. Leave it on for the product’s specified amount of time: this can vary from a few minutes to up to half an hour.

Before choosing a mold remover, Rubino says it’s important to find one compatible with your affected surface. These include porous, non-porous, and semi-porous. According to Rubino, porous surfaces include fabrics and carpets, while non-porous surfaces include finished woods and sealed countertops. Finally, semi-porous refers to surfaces like leather and some types of plastic. MoldArmor Rapid Clean Remediation is a mold remover that’s safe for use on a long list of non-porous surfaces, including laminate, sealed fiberglass, acrylic, glass, sealed grout, glazed ceramic, sealed granite, and vinyl. This makes it a particularly great defense in damp or humid areas of the home, such as the bathroom, laundry room, or screened porch. It’s safe for both outdoor and indoor use, but be sure you have adequate ventilation, since the fumes of this mold remover can be powerful—similarly to the other products you'll find on this list.

Who else is in your household? For example, some products might not be suitable for homes with fish tanks. If you have young children or pets, you might prefer to use a product that’s non-toxic. As mildew grows, it releases spores that cause other colonies to form. Unless you completely remove all of the spores, it is possible for mildew to keep returning, especially if the conditions welcome its growth. This often occurs in humid environments and rooms, such as on the shower walls of a bathroom. If contained to non-porous surfaces, it can be fairly straightforward to manage and remove. But if there is an issue, such as a water leak that led to the mildew growth in the first place—or if you’re unsure what the source of the mildew is—it’s a good idea to call on a mold remediation specialist to test for mold in your home and safely remove it from all affected porous surfaces, including wall and flooring materials. NO SCRUBBING NEEDED:Simply spray our ready-to-use formula on the affected area and watch the stains disappear right before your eyes! Mould, damp or weather stains often appear on the silicon seal between the bathtub and the tiled wall, in the shower cubicle or on plaster. This anti mould spray is also suitable for cleaning tile walls, seals in the swimming pool, garage, shed, sauna and conservatory. We also have a foam spray version of the mildew cleaner: HG mould remover foam spray. This version has a unique foam formula with a milder fragrance, and is easier to spray directly on mould or mildew. A mold and mildew cleaner without splashing. How do you use HG mould spray?

Our mould cleaner eliminates mould from any surface

Many mildew removers contain a cleaning agent and a whitening agent. One of the most effective ways to get rid of mildew stains is by using bleach to clean it, also listed as sodium hypochlorite. You may see either listed on the ingredients list. In bleach-containing solutions, make sure to take extra care in following the manufacturer’s safety and storage recommendations.
