I meant to write a review last time I wore this; I'm not wearing it at the moment so can't really do it justice. However... Have to admit i bought this fragrance blindly after hearing of YSL Tuxedo on a Demi Rawling video where she called it the best men's fragrance ever. Her raving about it seems really genuine (In time i learned to take Youtuber's opinions with more then a grain of salt). Rochas Moustache was unavailable for a while in my country and frankly i prefered this one's presentation. Both this and Moustache are clones of Tuxedo. I found Kismet to be almost identical to Rochas Moustache EDP to the extent that it is most certainly a clone of that fragrance specifically as opposed to being a Tuxedo clone. Moustache & Kismet are as close to 1:1 that you can get in a fragrance. Kismet is warm, but the vanilla is not sweet and eatable , it is powdery and classy. Later becomes creamy, complex ... like a mixture between otherworldly and "something old and comforting" . The creaminess makes it feel like there is tone of musk in it, but other notes create the feel.

This is a dupe for Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad, which is a very beautiful white floral that is unfortunately dominated by an overpowering osmanthus note. If you couldn’t deal with the osmanthus note in GGGB but enjoyed the scent, this is a wonderful alternative. I also don’t go nose blind to this as I had with GGGB. Needless to say that in about an hour not me nor the people around me could smell the "GGGB" that I had bought and sprayed for the outing. I'm posting this review to be informative for those looking at Kismet as an alternative to Rochas Moustache EDP.Performance wise it could be better. I think this is a 4-5 hour fragrance at best. On the other hand, with my description above, i don't think this has to be a super strong fragrance, it would take away from its character. You could always just spray more since it costs around 25-30 dollars. (LATER EDIT: My bottle aged a bit and performance is better then i initially thought, i can smell this on myself clearly after a whole workshift) I patiently await the cooler weather so I can start wearing my generous decant of Lubin Kismet. The rich, resinous notes found in this fragrance do unfortunately nauseate me if I attempt to wear this perfume during Summer. It's also important to go light on the sprays, as a little bit goes a long way. I think a spray gives you more of that peppery osmanthus opening. I was very concerned, and I couldn't understand how this was the same juice i got in my sample. It can definitely be screechy and off-putting with the atomizer. I was really excited with my buy until I returned home, got prepared for an outing and sprayed the fragrance on me. In the meantime, I couldn't find anywhere the smells of the other "Killians" that I had tested.

However, I do love osmanthus. I’ve even been eating fresh apricots hoping they will taste as good as an osmanthus perfume, lol. Not yet. I swoon over the osmanthus dry down in Serge Lutens Bapteme du Feu, and I just wish Nuit de Cellophane was longer-lasting. This is a dupe of Moustache EDP Rochas and I would say it's about 90-95% similar although it might get more similar with an aged bottle. In Kismet for Men, vanilla-vetiver-patchouli does a good job of giving an impression of the benzoin in Moustache EDP Rochas. The opening fresh & warm spicy notes last longer in Kismet for Men, but the benzoin in Moustache EDP is more swoon-worthy for those who don't go nose-blind to it. Overall, this is a pretty good dupe, but not better than the OG Moustache EDP imho, since the benzoin is my favourite part. Moustache EDP has better performance, but it seems that many people go nose-blind to both of these. I often have trouble with performance of fragrances because my body (and especially my skin) run very warm compared to average, but Kismet for Men actually performs pretty well on me. Sillage and endurance are reasonable for the cost. The difference is subtle, they are so close with Moustache having only slightly better performance and quality that it isn't even a factor in my opinion. And I conclude: I do not exclude the possibility that the fragrances of Killian's brand are not made for my skin. However, when a perfume lover chooses this kind of niche perfumery to buy from, they shouldn't end up absolutely scentless within one hour.
