Pink commented that the in-game decisions were not meant to be good because there couldn't be an optimal play-through. Clementine, Book One is a dismal comic that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, least of all Walking Dead fans - if anything, this book will give you a new appreciation for even the worst books in Kirkman’s run, which were never as mind-numbingly dull as this. If you are gonna tackle that side of Clem, maybe try and have it be for a reason that fits her character.

They do a great job of capturing the post-fall-of-civilization world while also undeniably being their art style. They eventually join a small group of survivors, which include Kenny, his wife Katjaa and his son Kenny "Duck" Jr. For the next two weeks, the trio and the cat travel to Olivia's mother's homebase to retrieve supplies and a plane.Sixteen months later, she and Christa are separated by another scavenger attack, and Clementine joins another group of survivors living in a cabin. If Kenny is chosen, the player may either choose to have Clementine enter Wellington with AJ alone or to continue traveling with Kenny. Stumbling around the dark chasm with one leg, Clem finds more walkers and tries to fight them but is overpowered. She is found and cared for by Lee Everett, another survivor, who tries to help her find her parents, and becomes a father-figure to her, teaching her how to survive. In her dream on the train, a young Clementine talks to Lee and asks him "will the pain ever stop", while remembering having to shoot him and remembers Amos.

As a choice to the player, Kenny and Lee are forced to euthanize Duck or leave him to re-animate after he is bitten by a walker, causing Katjaa to kill herself. Game Informer 's Kimberley Wallace describes the character of Clementine as having "broken through the barrier [of the television screen], securing a place in the hearts of many". Chapter Four" of Book Two reveals that Olivia is pregnant with Amos' child, thus making Amos the youngest father in The Walking Dead franchise. This is why memoirs are usually suited for people who have lived a life or had some extraordinary experience, neither of which applies to Spinning.

Olivia also reveals to Clementine that she has been unconscious for one month and her legs got infected as well. She rescues Javier while trying to acquire a working vehicle and stays with him to help rescue his family at a nearby junkyard. this is devoid of the dreamlike qualities that usually bring her work alive and drenched instead in chilling dread.

As Clementine gives Ricca her hat, Ricca says every walker looks like the same person to her, this person being her brother.
