Star of the cult Evil Dead trilogy, he has a CV that ranges from buddy Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, through The X-Files, Xena: Warrior Princess and Burn Notice, to Man With the Screaming Brain, My Name is Bruce and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters. More recently Campbell reprised his role as Ashley "Ash" Williams in Ash vs Evil Dead, [31] a series based upon the Evil Dead series that began his career. Lee Cronin: "Bruce came over to Ireland when we were working on the sound and I asked him if he would do this teeny, tiny, little cameo for me. He is best known for his starring role as Ash in the Evil Dead trilogy of horror/slapstick movies, and has since become a B-movie icon. Other than the smell of smoke which I allowed to "air out" of my clothes before I went back inside later in the evening I was barely singed and my parents never knew about the "near disaster".

It is also refreshing to hear how Campbell aspires towards serious acting as well as appreciating the fun of doing _Hercules_, because it shows how Campbell has branched out into his own style of actor. theme, filled with famous names, love affairs and cliche s of a ' meteoric rise' or ' tragic fall' . To this day, I still rely on Routine number 6 (to run headlong into them and tackle them) whenever I’m confronted by an enemy. The story of someone who achieved his goals by showing up and making the effort, and somehow managed to remember how to enjoy the journey itself. And what better book to capture gorehounds’ attention than the irreverent memoirs cult cinema’s most likeable everyman, “Groovy” Bruce Campbell?

We’d lose a dozen of them with each engagement and Dad sliced any MIAs to ribbons mowing the lawn each Saturday. He portrayed Sam Axe, a beer-chugging, former Navy SEAL now working as an unlicensed private investigator and occasional mercenary with his old friend Michael Westen, the show's main character. This is one "sequel" that I'm happy to be a part of, since we could make so many technical improvements.I couldn't really rate this 5 stars though, because there were some parts of it that I was just like "Ehhh, ok then" about - like a lot of the stuff about his childhood with his brothers, which was funny at times, but didn't really interest me much. He is known best for his role as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead horror series, beginning with the short movie Within the Woods (1978). Bruce Campbell is like Stephen King in that the thing that he's best known and most loved for happened super early in his career. Once you look past the hype, actors are nothing more than fugitives from reality who specialize in contradiction: we are both children and hardened adults—wide-eyed pupils and jaded working stiffs. I’ve always been more interested in the working stiffs of Hollywood, 99% of whom are overlooked in those phony, tell-all books.
