If you’re wondering if this is the right laptop for you, I think the main thing you need to ask is if it’s the right size and weight. If your sights are on a 16″ gaming laptop solution, your options are probably narrowed down to this, the HP Omen 16 and even the Asus Zephyrus M16. But considering those three, this is both the larger and heavier of the bunch. I honestly have no complaints on this panel. Sure it could have more colors, but other than that it’s perfect. The 16:10 aspect ratio is also pretty nice to have. I didn’t realize just how much I would like it until I saw it in person. Not only is it good looking for productivity stuff, it also suits well for games. It just costs a little in performance compared to a standard 16:9 screen, due to the extra pixels. There’s a standard HD webcam on this model. It takes a decent picture but it’s nothing special at all. The colors are bland even in normal light and the low light correction is far from good. It passes for the occasional use I suppose and is better than not having one at all. Thanks a lot mate, I'm now too curious after watching another review on the new 2021 Legion 5 though. Don't know if is too stupid to get the 2020 right now, instead of waiting couple of weeks! After taking a look at the inside, I noticed a very familiar sight. The cooling system is exactly the same as what I saw on both the 15” Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro. The only difference is the heat pipes were stretched out a little further to span the chassis. Frankly, I expected more.

As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services. I'm understanding then, that probably we won't get these new models in EU until the end of the year and would be way more expensive. Overall I’m OK with this laptop. It’s just as good as the 15” model I reviewed recently, except it has an SD card reader. It is bigger and heavier though, so you’ll have to put up with a little extra heft if you want the bigger 17-inch screen.

Compete like a pro on the Legion 5 Gen 6 (15″ Intel) gaming laptop. It’s armed with all you need to dominate opponents, from powerful 11th Gen Intel® Core processors to fast NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 30 Series graphics. Enjoy top-flight, color-accurate visuals on up to a 15.6″ QHD display with Dolby Vision™, plus Nahimic 3D audio and the Legion Truestrike keyboard. However, those configurations were not available worldwide, and only topped at Geforce 60 mid-level graphics, which did not suffice for some potential buyers.

The Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 is an upper midrange gaming laptop sitting right below the even more expensive Legion 7 16 series. It joins the increasingly common lineup of 16-inch gaming laptops like the HP Omen 16, Asus ROG Zephyrus M16, Dell G16, or the Gigabyte Aero 16 all of which are alternatives to the Lenovo model in review. Single- and multi-thread performance is about 10 percent and 20 percent faster than on the last generation Ryzen 7 5800H, respectively, based on our time with the HP Omen 16 and the 2021 Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16. Though not insignificant, the year-over-year performance boost isn't nearly as big as the jump from 11th gen to 12th gen Intel. The Core i7-12700H, for example, is still roughly 15 to 30 percent faster than our Ryzen 7 6800H. Quiet mode is noticeably better on the fan noise, however your TDP gets limited to a mere 10-12W. Your TGP stays at 115W though, so if you’re playing a game that doesn’t require much CPU usage, you might get good results with lass fan noise. In this mode, the fans peaked at 42dB. Quieter but not exactly “quiet”.I haven’t used the Bluetooth connection much. But I have been reading some reports of inconsistent connections, with both controllers and earphones. I’ll try to do some more of this in the coming days, but I would recommend looking into this more if you’re a serious buyer and use Bluetooth a lot. Of course the main draw is the 16″ 16:10 screen, which is both bright and beautiful, but also unique to just a select few laptops at the time of this review. I wish it was the high gamut panel like on the Asus Zephyrus M16, but it’s still better than almost everything else out there.

The sound from the speakers is fine. Cranked all the way up, it can reach amplitudes as high as 80dB, which is good enough for streaming a show or something. The average temperature for the upper side under maximal load is 37.4 °C / 99 F, compared to the average of 33.9 °C / 93 F for the devices in the class Gaming.
