Overall, I would describe this as a fun, flirty little peppery mango+mandarin scent with a bit of floral depth to it. I dont think it suits the scent or vibe of the perfume so if you’re looking for something fruity or more feminine, this isn’t it. Finally, an unexpected seduction unfolds in the base as vetiver and vanilla intertwine, creating an intriguing and spellbinding signature. Sandalwood, Vetiver and Vanilla make up the base notes; yielding unforeseen seduction to a fragrance that is playful, fun and magical. It is an all around soft scent,I spray quite heavily throughout body,hair and clothes (maybe 10-12 sprays) and it is not overpowering. Like sunshine on water, Anna Sui Fairy Dance sparkles on top, with mouth-watering tangerine and mango notes mingling with the rosiness of pink pepper. While I love peony as a real scent, I am beginning to find that in perfumes it has a quality I do not like; the opposite of uplifting - dulling, too pervasive, and too vintage.The opening is just fruity floral typical teenage scent, pretty uplifting, but sadly the dry down on my skin smells like musky male cologne that heavy on wet- dirty vetiver. Yes, there are other Anna Sui fragrances that disappear within a few hours on me, but Fairy Dance lasts much longer. I can smell it all day when it is on my clothing, but doesn't last as long on the skin due to how subtle it is. I really got this one for the mango but I am loving how the mango and the mandarin orange are playing off each other. It moves on to a creamier scent as the vanilla kicks in, almost reminiscent of the old-fashioned Good Humor orange and vanilla ice cream bars, but not quite as sweet.

Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.

I bought this mini 4 ml bottle, I was looking for something with bamboo, bottle looks cute and there was few notes I like. I thought it would be young smelling given the demographic of some of Anna Sui's perfumes but actually reminds me of something my granny would enjoy - although that's not necessarily a bad thing.
