If anyone should feel a failure it is me as I nearly starved my baby to death trying to breast feed a baby who could not transfer any milk. I did raise my concerns to every midwife I saw for a week and was patted on the head and told to get on with breast feeding. Baby was never weighed and the jaundice was not recognised.
