I know camera performance will forever be the weak spot of more accessibly priced drones, but it shouldn't be, especially in the case of the Ruko F11 GIM2, which is a heavier drone, so it could support a larger camera unit. Sure, you can mount an Insta360 GO 3 on the drone and capture much better footage – many drone pilots did this with the Insta360 GO 2, and there is even a special, third-party mount designed for the purpose. The Ruko F11 Gim 2 drone is a camera drone that is priced in the mid-range. While connected to the WiFi network, the Gim 2 drone begins collecting photographs and movies with its FHD camera. This is a fantastic option for anyone seeking a low-cost camera drone. Why Not Go with Other Brands? I know that the drone is often on offer, and if you come across it for a discounted price – and have the appropriate licence to fly it – you might as well give it a try. Don't expect the Ruko F11 GIM2 to provide stunning videos similar to DJI drones, though, especially if you're trying to create content for social media (i.e. vertical videos). To power off the controller you press the power button once and then again holding it down. There’s also a dedicated return to home button and around the front dedicated buttons for recording photos and videos. If you tap on the microphone icon you can capture audio with your videos. The drone doesn’t have a microphone – this just uses your phone’s microphone. Also the higher quality videos on the SD card won’t have audio – only the lower quality videos captured on your phone. There’s a fair bit of lag so don’t try and use it where you want lip sync. But it’s still a useful feature. As expected from a drone these days, the Ruko F11 GIM2 has pre-programmed flying modes, such as Follow Me, Waypoint Flight and GPS Auto-return Home. Some of the cooler auto features found on beginner DJI models (e.g. Helix) aren't available on the Ruko F11 GIM2, but it's to be expected. It maens the drone has entered the compass calibration state and you need to perform horizontal and vertical calibration. Ruko claims the drone has a range of almost 3km which is very impressive. Another advantage of a slightly larger drone like this is it’s easier to see further away. On a clear day I could just about spot it 130m from me. So I can’t confirm whether it can achieve even close to its maximum range under our local flight restrictions in the UK, where the drone has to be visible at all times. But in all my test flights I never lost communication between the controller and drone, and the live video feed to my phone worked very well.

The video image transmitted to the phone is clear. You can begin recordings from buttons on the phone screen or the controller. The controller also has dials to control the zoom and angle of the lens.

I can’t tell you how nice it is to know that if the drone runs low on battery or flies out of range or loses connection with the controller, it will automatically return to where it took off. In an open outdoor area, the drone will automatically search for GPS satellite signals, (it would take 1-2 minutes,Which depends on the environment) The GPS also enables a flight mode called Follow Me that lets you tap on a subject on the phone’s screen and the drone will follow automatically. a. In the default mode (Beginner Mode), the flying altitude and distance will be limited to 30 meters. There are also two gesture modes to either capture a photo with a v-sign or a video with your hand. I couldn’t really get this to work – perhaps it was too sunny when I tried it. But with dedicated buttons on the controller I can’t really see a need for it. Performance
