Description

This alcohol free wine is produced by centrifuging merlot wine which removes the alcohol. But then unfermented juice is then added make it more wine-like. The result is a fruity, drink that is not quite like wine but still pleasant as a drink in its own right. For those that like the taste of alcohol, it will be missing. Gallo Family Vineyards Merlot One reviewer wrote: "An inoffensively simple rose wine, lots of red fruits on the nose and palate. Medium wine, so best enjoyed on a warm day as an afternoon treat." Strong dry tannin flavours and strong smooth blend of dark fruit aromas with notes of toasted oak, chocolate and vanilla making it smooth to drink. Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon Diablo dark red and wold blass yellow label One reviewer wrote: "Cherry flavours and spicy. A softer dry wine which is good for drinking in the evening." One reviewer wrote: "Dry and refreshing with notes of peach. Crisp with a long and fruit finish. Good value for money."

One reviewer wrote: "It says on the label, with a hint of cream. I can certainly taste pineapple but no cream. Lovely wine to drink with a bbq in the evening sunshine." One reviewer wrote: "Light, refreshing, cheeky and alcoholic. But enough about me, the wine’s not bad either."

ASDA red wines

Sweet and smooth, easy drink but slightly acidic after taste. Flavours of dark plum, mulberries and slight spice. Winemaker's notes: "Crispy, leafy mint and mouthwatering lemon freshness dominate the nose and palate and are complimented by subtle traces of ripe stone fruits." Flavoursome, full bodied wine and smooth from the wine region of South Australia. This is strong. Full bodied and strong aroma. Diablo Dark Red One reviewer wrote: "Easy to drink, equilibrium tannins, persistent aftertaste, medium body, scintillating ruby colouration and excellent aromas." Here is an extensive list of the red wines available at ASDA. ASDA red wines ASDA wines cabernet chauvignon Cabernet Chauvignon Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon

Subtle taste. Sweet and fruity blend of caramel, plum, chocolate flavours Hardys Crest Cabernet Shiraz Merlot One reviewer wrote: "Very sweet and tasting of strawberries. Extremely easy to drink as it's more of a squash than a wine. At the price can't complain." Smoked oak flavour that blends into a spicy, smooth fruity plum and cherry flavour. Probably not as good as the dark red version being lighter bodied. Hints of vanilla and chocolate. Great with red meat dishes or steaks. ASDA Extra Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon

One reviewer wrote: "Doesn't give much away on the nose, however this traditional grape German is full of fruity juice flavour. This truly is a 'beloved lady milk' of mine now."

One reviewer wrote: "Peach and melon fruit joined with tropical flavours. Nice Australian white wine!" Very fruity taste and aroma but not sweet, dark red, dry and full bodied. Taste great with meat. Strong, fruity, a little sour. Not be to everyone’s taste. Some may find it bitter or sour. One reviewer wrote: "Plenty of cherry and raspberry on the nose. Very thin as expected on the palate. Tasty enough, if a little tart."

The reviewer wrote: "Pretty decent wine, especially at the price. Good balance without losing that touch of expected acidity. Perfect with a curry."

One reviewer wrote: "Smells mineral and pine-y. Tastes of honeydew melon, apples and green olives. Ultra dry. It sounds odd, but I think this could work really well with a curry. It's a little hard to drink on its own." One reviewer wrote: "Don't know the grapes but this is so good for the price I definitely recommend. I'm no sommelier but I'd wager there is some Shiraz/Syrah in there... yum yum!"One reviewer wrote: "Cheap and cheerful Chardonnay that is good for drinking and not just cooking!" Winemaker's notes: "Exhibiting aromas of plum cherry and chocolate while licorice and spicy oak flavours abound on the palate." Taste characteristics: strawberry, cherry, raspberry; earthy, leather, minerals; clove, oak, vanilla There is a vast selection of red wine types, from big and bold, to elegant and dry, or sweet and simple every day wines. A lot depends on where the grapes are from and how they are produced, but the grape variety plays the most important part. Most red wine varietals grow best in warmer climates, where they can ripen fully before harvesting. One reviewer wrote: "Nothing spectacular, but good value for money. I'd happily drink it again and you shouldn't be disappointed, I think, if you give it a go too."
