I enjoyed reading about his relationship with his brothers, their other half's, particularly his friendship with Iris and Declan's continuing character development.

The way it portrays alcoholism and shame and anxiety and doing the wrong thing even though you know it’s the wrong thing because you don’t know any other way was so powerful. Unfortunately, readers aren’t given full context of their relationship before they got together, while they got together, and after they ended it. Even when Cal shouted he was going to rehab for himself not his inheritance she still didn't listen. I loved seeing her scenes, seeing her the way she talked to and manipulated people (lol, poor Cal, he honestly never stood a chance), and, most of all, I love her relationship with her mother and her relationship with Cal—the amount of girl dad energy he gave and the father-daughter energy they had from the beginning were insane. with Alana and her daughter Cami living in the house that Cal’s grandfather left to both Alana and Cal, the pair need to learn to cohabit the place while battling their tumultuous past full of heartache, betrayal and lost love, tainted by the shadow of Cal’s addiction.Someone tell me why the townies of that shithole cared so much about what had happened, I really can't handle people who meddle in other people's lives. I’ve never thought I would cry reading this book but I can’t help also another reason for this book to give 5 stars!

We never got a follow up on what happened to Lana's sister 4 years later in Cal's extended epilogue. It was great having the other Kane brothers (and their significant others) still part of the plot in Final Offer and made regular appearances throughout the novel. i hate how they all treat his addiction as an inconvenience to them, that rubbed me off the wrong way. The TENSION snaps and crackles immediately, and it’s obvious that there is both a lot of love and HURT between them. This is the third and final installment in Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaires trilogy, so if you’re new to this series, you should start with book one, The Fine Print, to avoid spoilers. Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang. Each and every scene, every glance, every conversation she had with both Lana and Cal almost made me cry. The next instance is she constantly claims that she wants to support Cal with his addiction BUT she never does.

That’s what tore Cal and Alana apart the first time, and it’s also the thing that prevents them from having a future. I think this book would have been better if it had started at the point Cal had become sober or he had become sober earlier in the book. Lana meets with Violet and Delilah and Violet is complaining about some guy fucking loudly, I feel like she’s the next book. after Cal got the help he needed and got sober, i started to like the book much better and was actually more invested in the romance, because i knew Cal could finally be the man for Cami and Lana he always wanted to be. This review felt so satisfying to read and I can only imagine how it must feel for you 😂 I adore this review but girl how did you find the strength to suffer through this entire chonky book?Though she is portrayed as this strong woman when we first meet her, she is codependent and does not have much of a personality outside of being a martyr.

But after reading about how he treated Lana during their previous relationship, I was not rooting for them to get back together. I have it on my tbr pile but won't be rushing to read it, what a shame about the length and the pace! Two bland characters getting together then breaking up then getting back together and then breaking up and getting back together. She seemed offended that Cal didn't know anything about her life during the 6 years since their relationship had ended.Plus, would he really even be ready for a healthy relationship and to become a father right after getting clean? I often find myself getting connected more to characters from book series rather than standalones, simply because I get to spend more time (pages) with them.
