Description

Matching games and other fun learning tools provide even more ways to make the lives of these role models accessible to children . Part of the beloved Little People, Big Dreams series, the story is told through colorful illustrations and text, black and white photos, a detailed timeline, plus the Queen's beloved corgis scattered throughout, giving readers a profound sense of her challenges and joys from childhood through 70 years as Britain's longest-reigning monarch. Queen Elizabeth is written by the creator of this edition Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara and is accompanied by charming pictures by Melissa Lee Johnson. So not only does this have a completely inaccurate and misleading title, it came across as a most disrespectful cash-in. Her uncle Edward had renounced the Crown, Which meant her father would be the next king and she heiress to the throne.

Cachetejack are Nuria Bellver and Raquel Fanjul, a Spanish freelance illustration duo with a nomadic lifestyle working together since 2011. I know for a fact that children reading this book will actually learn what it takes to be a Queen rather than being swept away with the usual life we see a Princess/Queen lead in the usual Fairytales!

It is 5 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended and another fabulous addition to this series. Inspire the next generation of outstanding people who will change the world with Little People, BIG DREAMS! Instead of a quiet life in the country, she unexpectedly became the longest-reigning British monarch and served with remarkable poise and dignity.

Being a young Muslim-American-Pakistani woman, her illustrations highlight the different identities that she juggles day to day and aims to empower woman around the world.I am a huge fan of the books in this series and I knew that this one was due to be released before her death on 8th September 2022 so it is just good timing that it has been released now so shortly after her passing but I think it is a book that will be really of benefit. It covers her younger life and how she would play with her sister, Margaret when they were younger as well as her brief stint in the services during the Second World War. Maria Isabel likes to think the success of the series relies on the fact that children love to read real stories about other children’s experiences, lives and journeys. Elizabeth was not considered likely to ever serve as Queen since she was third in line to the throne.
