The album itself is amazing, with each track showcasing exceptional quality in terms of sound and musical artistry. I was suitably impressed with their 2016 Glastonbury appearance - exciting performance, confetti, lights and a rainbow thrown in for good measure! I have some favorite songs like "The moment" and "Reality in motion", but the whole album sounds like experiment, which is great, I like experiments, but some unreleased songs I heard. Unauthorised copying, renting, lending, diffusion, public performance or broadcast of the recorded work prohibited. Echoes of Giorgio Moroder and Daft Punk have been added into the mix and this is a laid back love infused album. Yeah, is a surreal, funky, profane, and perversely joyous album, overflowing with casual eclecticism and giddy humour.

The first track from the record to be unveiled, Let It Happen, is a perfectly encapsulating preview of what lies ahead.

Currents, their fourth album, continues this trend, toning down some of the psychedelic rock elements in favour of nods to blue-eyed soul, woozy dream-pop, cheery summery pop (see the radio hit in waiting "The Less I Know The Better"), and even the head-nodding rhythms of hip hop (which, incidentally, prove the perfect backing for the morphine pop wooziness of "Past Life"). I experienced the songs in an improved way, every single sound within each song is so crisp and clear. A genre bending soundscape fuelled equally by curiosity as it is consciousness, it’s exhilarating new territory for Tame Impala. This level of care in packaging is greatly appreciated, especially for vinyl enthusiasts who value the condition of their records. There are some gems on this album: The Moment, Yes I'm Changing, Eventually, New Person, Same Old Mistakes (Rihanna covered this one). I am definitely a big fan now and so far not getting bored despite multiple plays over the last 2 months. Let It Happen, Disciples and Reality In Motion are among the strongest tracks here but the long languid approach means a different track might hit you more strongly on each listen.and “God Smack” give Layne Staley a chance to explore a vocal arsenal that encompasses bluesy wails, unholy screams, and. The drums and Parker’s vocal introduction lull the listener with a sense of familiarity, until it all sweeps up into a cosmos once populated only by French robots, with insistent melody, broken machine loops, synthetic orchestration, surfing vocoder and a shredding guitar outro. By and large Kevin Parker’s approach to recording has not, though the sound coming out of his home studio has vastly expanded, as has the number of people anticipating the fruits of his labour.
