Knowing that I’ll probably snag one, love my system but it’s a bit overbearing when i wanna play something chill.

Where you are in correct is in believing that the remote gain only controls the preset gain of the amp, this is in fact not true. This is why I tend to listen to albums in their entirety whereas I used to make my own discs and had the aforementioned issue. Amp remote bass control knobs, also known as bass level controllers or bass remotes, are compact and user-friendly devices designed to give you precise control over the bass output of your car audio system. Our wide variety of bass and level remotes offer you a quick and easy way to adjust the bass to compensate the variations of genres you are listening to.

you should put your stereo at your loudest listening level that you usually play at a normal basis then you turn your bass nob up all the way and slowly turn your gains up on your eq until its at a satisfied listening level. but I still need all the channel inputs hooked up to my RCA amplifier inputs or it wont output any sound to one of the speakers. From standard replacement speakers that offer high power handling to exquisite high performance versions we have a full range of speakers that complement our amplification and afford tremendous sound quality. The only thing that reduces the noise is turning the LPF all the way down (to the left) and/or turning the gain down.

my question isnt about my amps (I have several - for listening we have an old Sansui Quad receiver - and a car stereo that doesnt even have a knob but has some sort of "bass" level you can change if you scroll thru a menu - not recommended while driving! A remote gain knob is solely for turning down the gain quickly to set it at normal listening levels. Bass boost type that connect to the amps bass boost circuit and gain knobs that connect to the amps gain circuit.

and I dont want a million splitters and stuff I need to convert the headphone plug output from my computer to quad RCA since the amplifier takes two lefts and two right channels in RCA inputs and I have the amplifier in bridged mode for two subwoofers. Some manufacturers offer universal remote bass control knobs that work with various amplifier brands, while others have proprietary knobs designed exclusively for their products. if the gain at the amp is set for a safe unclipped level then there is nothing wrong with using the remote gain as a volume control. Properly integrating the knob during the installation process ensures a cleaner and more organized setup.

Bassface midrange speakers are designed to give the enthusiast builder pounding performance and musicality whilst not costing the earth which is an important factor when building systems that utilise many drivers. In the process of diagnosing it I found that if I didn't have my universal rca style bass knob connected the noise went away.
