Rarities often coincide with town roles (Popular = Townie, Poptastic! = Town Council, Pop Wow! = Mayor), although this is not always the case as seen in the Easter Series where all Pop It Pets are labelled Poptastic!, despite having different town roles. As with all collectibles it seems, the downside is the amount of rubbish you have to throw away after the unboxing. Some of the Pets have special powers: some change colour in the sunlight, some glow in the dark and others change colour when they’re warmed up in hands. Not all pets have a single bubble-popper; some have two, and a few have three. Town roles establish a hierarchy within the world of Pop It! Pets. Regular Pop It Pets are the standard type of Pop It Pet, they vary in size and the amount of the pops depending on the character or object that it is depicting. The Pop Pop Pets bubbles are made of thin plastic which you squeeze until the burst, and the pink or purple slime oozes out. The pets in Pop Pops Pets are tiny little collectable rubber creatures. Mega Pop It Pets are special Pop It Pets that were introduced in Season 2. They have yet to release and not much is known about them. Big Potato Games says it had been looking for a collectible range for a while and when the team saw Pop It Pets, they knew they’d found something that would be a hit in the UK too. There are 60 different little pets to collect, and these include common, rare, super rare and special edition pets. We got a few doubles in there, but also some rare, super rare and metallic characters which the kids loved! Pop It Pets are organized by towns, towns are fictional locations where Pop It Pets live. Each town has a group of themed Pop It Pets, based on the setting of the town. The little pets are tiny but cute and I’m sure they will be put to all kinds of uses.
