If you use the thermostat it does maintain a steady temperature - this works better than I expected. I bought this for my daughter's bedroom; it's got a large bay window and is on the side of the house that never gets sun, so it does tend to get cold at night. Thoroughly recommend this machine - it's silent in operation and pretty compact BUT (there's always a 'but') why is there no indication that this machine is painted in what is best described as 'Battleship' grey and not white?

A higher rating will obviously heat the oil to peak temperature faster, but once reached much less energy is generally needed to maintain oil temperature.

My only small criticisms of the radiator is it is slightly higher than I would have like, coming a little above the shelf on the dwarf walls of the conservatory.
