Description

Because of its striking appearance the recently released Hammond Collection Ceratosaurus was my most anticipated toy in the Hammond Collection line.

But here the colour scheme appears to be original (correct me if I’m wrong) and very gorgeous and eye-catching indeed. However, I do not know why the tongue is painted bright red and not the same colour as the inside of the mouth. As for the details, there are some cracks sculpted on the horn and the crests which look really nice. This medium-sized predator lived in North America and Europe during the Jurassic, around 150 million years ago. Ceratosaurus means 'horned lizard' and it was a large theropod that lived during the Late Jurassic period around 153-148 million years ago. This rugged and powerful dinosaur could measure up to 6 meters long for 2 feet tall and weighs around 800 kilograms. Back in 1994, Schleich released its now-discontinued Replica-Saurus line of dinosaur figures, which included perhaps the goofiest, ugliest, and most hideous dinosaur figure ever manufactured , their first Ceratosaurus sculpt, in a quadrupedal stance.

At least the pose isn’t exaggerated and as much of an eyesore as with other figures such as Papo’s Giganotosaurus. This seemed to be understood by Schleich as they went for a scarlet red for the horn and the two crests. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Kids can activate the toy dinosaur’s strike feature to experience three levels of sounds which build up to a mighty, enormous roar.It is sculpted in a striding pose with the body leaning leftward, the right leg stretching far back, and the curved tail touching the ground.

Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. The teeth are white and the inside of the mouth and the skin tissue that connects the upper jaw and the lower jaw are light pink. I am happy to report that the Hammond Collection Ceratosaurus is one of the best toys from Mattel to date.In reference to its most distinctive feature, Marsh named it Ceratosaurus, meaning ‘horned lizard’, and gave it the species name C.
