Despite the hot daytime temperatures, it was cool at night. There was condensation, but not a problem. We took it for 3 days in Cornwall in hot dry weather. It was breezy but the tent stayed put. We had a windbreak to make a bit of an enclosure and overall it felt like staying in a bigger tent. There was plenty of room for 2, any more would not be comfortable. I agree that a tarp to make an awning would have been an improvement had the weather turned. So far have had no problems with the tent ,spent a total of 12 nights in it . Spacious sleeping compartments-able to take my Laguna Xl and wife's standard camp beds in sleeping compartment as well as camp table, chairs and cooking equip in outer compartment.

Hinged corners mean none of the poles truly bend, greatly reducing the potential for bent poles over time. Used a heavy duty green tarp from toolstation as a footprint, so had no underfloor moisture problems. When this tents fold-out mechanisms work, its pretty impressive, when its goes wrong, you're battling a many legged beasty. We bought Vango self-inflating matresses from Halfords. These were a great success and every bit as comfortable as a bed and much superior to lilo type inflatable beds.

Just left a review for the Outwell tomcat mp, which I've just bought, but the reason I just bought it was because of this one . The Coleman instant :(

Then started to extend the lower parts of the legs at about the half way point one of the legs collapsed and the tent toppled over. No condensation problems found in inner sleeping compartment and opening the vents and mesh in outer compartment seemed to obviate it there.Have used the tent 4 times last year, once setting it up in very rainy and gusty (40mph + ) conditions - I had to tether the tent while setting it up. The interior of the tent is a little on the smaller side, with a peak height of only 44 inches, so it is best suited for sleeping rather than socializing.

We had 2 SIMS in there along with a bag of clothes we could if we moved things a round a bit have both had room to sit inside on normal height chairs. My seam sealer also proved itself as there were no leaks, although the Tarp does go over half of the roof. Besides spacious dark bedrooms the Instant Tent™ size 4 provides a large protected living area, large (selfrolling) windows and high quality fabrics with super-strong weather proofing.

I'm going to see if any repair centres could possibly put some extra vents in each side which may help to reduce the condensation problem but not too big make it always cold! The storage bag is a little on the long side, but given that it's a large family tent, it still gets the job done with a minimum of difficulty or awkwardness.

I go camping on my own with the kids, I also hate poles . So when I saw this tent I had to have it!It survived a heavy torrential down pour, the only problem was that I had left the lower zip on the door open and so the outer tent because of the sown in groundsheet was flooded. The door is pretty fiddly because its 3 zips and not one continuous one. The Instant Tent™ Tourer 4 Coleman offers enough room to sleep for 4 person but without extra living space. This Instant Tent™ Tourer provides the incredibly fast pitching technology also for more active campers who seek a reliable, small but convenient and comfortable tent. Ideal for weekend get-aways and festivals. The first one I set up in the garden and it did go up very fast, it did rain and it highlighted that the seam all the way round the tent where the side walls were sewn on to the ground sheet all leaked!
