Rowling has the edge on inventiveness and pure fantasy, but Mayo has some great material up his sleeve, and some of it is very dark material indeed.

He may have to rely on Tim's help though when Doctor Flowerdew decides to keep the rock and send it off for testing at a professional lab. Loved both books and I highly recommend them but do be advised that both can be a little gory and violent, at times, so there are difficult moments if you have a weak stomach. I reviewed the first book in this series, Itch (link at left leads to my review), last April and loved it so much that I went hunting for a copy of Itch Rocks in London, knowing it had already been released in the UK. Like many kids, he's a collector-magpie, but football stickers and manga-style cards aren't his thing.It seems a xenon canister would be quite heavy, especially if Itch was carrying enough to anaesthetise a carload of criminals. Based on the periodic table, Itch - Element Hunter is the first novel from renowned radio DJ Simon Mayo - an exciting and nail-biting thriller.

There was just a cool spy vibe to those portions of the book and when, eventually, things start to go haywire and blow up (literally), when even MI5 isn't able to stop the bad guys, the story becomes truly exciting. He has also left sufficient loose ends and unresolved plot strands to ensure an incendiary sequel, which he is already writing. Meanwhile Tim tries to track down an escaped Roshanna and see if she's willing to help them crack Lannister's laptop information.In addition to Itch, we also meet his younger sister, Chloe, and his cousin, Jack (Jacqueline), who is the same age as he is. But when he gets his hands on a suspiciously warm rock made of a new, previously unknown element, things really begin to explode.

Itch is an Australian children's action-adventure television series which premiered on ABC iView on 31 December 2019 and ABC Me on 15 January 2020. Jack and Darcy arrive with the real loftium, and Itch reveals that the Real loftium can be input into the copycat loftium's chamber to destroy both of them, but because it must be input manually someone will get full radiation exposure and die. There is an additional character, Lucy, whose purpose isn't entirely clear till the end of the book but who also serves as a minor love interest for Itch. Overall, Itch is a great and thrilling book with an easy to read storyline that will help kids to understand elements! He has worked on BBC radio since 1981 and is now the presenter of 'Drivetime' on BBC Radio 2, which features the regular 'Book Club' show.Itchingham Lofte, teenage element hunter and unlikely hero, has had anough excitement to last him a lifetime.
