A paperback edition was also released in the United States alongside the hardback edition; Titan Books released a paperback edition in the United Kingdom in March 2020. The colors still need some work though because darker scenes look like a joke when you use those dynamic background colors. The artist Claudia Aguirre lends her beautiful talents to this book and the art seems less rushed overall, though is still a bit iffy in some places. Erneut leider eine Umsetzung, die zu viel der stimmungsbildenden Beschreibungen und Rückblicke weggelassen hat.

Vernon drew inspiration for The Twisted Ones from Arthur Machen’s short horror story “ The White People” and the novel is a contemporary take on the story. The book ends on a cliffhanger for the final book in the trilogy, ‘The Fourth Closet’, which I am still interested in reading out of curiosity. The fact that clearly there was no sense of improvement from the last installment is why I gave this book the rating I did. The graphic novels, in all honesty, so far have made me kind of wish that they didn’t exist as they make me feel like the original novels can’t work in this type of format.

With electrifying art from Eisner Award-nominated artist Claudia Aguirre, and even more horror than ever before, fans won't want to miss this graphic novel adaptation straight from the mind of Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon. Now the thing I also like is that the pictures and dialogue have improved from the last book Five Nights at Freddy's the Silver Eyes Graphic Novel. I Have Been reading this book for a few weeks now and i would say I enjoy it, but I do not think it feels real enough to be a book i would like to read again, the story is about a pizza place with creepy singing dolls who haunt and kill people, the pictures were amazing I thought how detailed it was with the twisted, bloody, gory doll faces but it just doesn't do it for me unless you are into that stuff.

The second however, didn’t switch between scenes and characters as rapidly, it felt much better written story wise than the Silver Eyes (at least for the graphic novel adaptation). Clay Burke mentions “you ever know when a corpse may wander out of the shadows wearing a rabbit suit”, and honestly I found that quite funny. In total, this book is fantastic for fans and even outsiders that want to look in to the series, it's very easy to understand what story is being told, and as a dedicated fan to the Five Nights at Freddy's series, I say it is a silly choice to not check this book out if you are a fan of the series too, even if it is not the best it could be-- still containing it's struggles, I totally recommend picking this up when it comes to shelves February 2nd. Being a massive step up from the previous adaptation of The Silver Eyes, her work has honestly blown me away in terms of character emotion and storytelling. I realised after a while that some of them were put with the wrong characters which didn't make any sense until I realised it was muddled up.

But due to the second novel introducing the twisted animatronics, there is so much more room for effective and dynamic illustration. Her cruel and nasty grandmother has died, and Mouse travels to North Carolina to clear out her home. Although, it is good for anyone who likes stories about killer toys or creepy murdering anthropomorphic characters. It felt like not as much effort was put into them maybe compared to the human characters which makes some sense considering they don’t show up as much compared to them, though it’s still a problem. Now I recommend you read the first book before you read this one as the story won't make as much sense. The book both gives possible future views to the franchise as well as possible explanations to things already present or just recently appearing in the games. The art’s definitely better for the human characters, however all the animatronic characters besides Springtrap maybe all look just a tad bit off to me. It follows the life of this young girl who seems to be in her twenties who didn't live an interesting life which is why I think i didn't find the book that interesting, it seemed to be anytime the scene switched from deathly scary dolls to a girl with almost no backstory I lost interest almost everytime i read the book. There is also no inconsistencies to the Novel adaptation's story like in The Silver Eyes, all in all I wish it was longer !
