Created in collaboration with BeSafe®, the Norwegian safety experts, YOYO car seat is designed to protect your newborn baby and ensure he/she travels safely: YOYO car seat is a certified Group 0+ model for children aged 0 to approximately 12 months (up to 13 kg / 75 cm - 28.7 lbs / 29.5 in). But, fast forward 2 months later after our Uppababy Vista getting broken twice by the airlines and waiting 45min at the gate for the stroller collection at Amsterdam airport because our Cybex Eezy S Twist wouldn’t fit in the cabin I decided I needed a lightweight stroller for travel that fits in the cabin of ALL airlines and aircrafts. The recline is really with the new Aer+; it is nearly lay flat. In the photo above, this is the recline on the original Aer. When in recline mode, a strip allows ventilation to keep the baby cool, even on hot day trips. Canopy We’ve been using it ever since, but like all other strollers, it’s not flawless. Babyzen Yoyo traveled with us around Italy, Poland, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Malta, USA, French Polynesia, and Spain. The only step that requires two hands is folding the canopy, but you can do it when the baby is still sitting in the stroller.

It’s been previously made of foam before the update arrived and some people might find it odd, but honestly, I never had issues and we’ve been through the rainy and snowy weather with it. Folding & UnfoldingA feature I have grown to love is that the seat comes with a 5-point harness that is very easy to do up and undo, which is easy for parents but can become a problem as kids age and figure it out. Another thing that I think it’s worth mentioning is that while lightweight, it’s sturdy. Before I owned other travel strollers I thought it was a norm that the stroller wouldn’t tip over with a diaper bag attached to a handle, but I was wrong. Every other stroller tips over (yes, including Joolz Aer and Bugaboo Butterfly) but not Yoyo. It’s honestly incredible! The basket is very spacious and it’s a huge plus for a compact stroller. I was able to put my own purse, along with two big bags of shopping in without any major issues. Babyzen Yoyo would be slightly smaller than Joolz Aer and has a similar recline (even more than Libelle actually), but also keep in mind two things:

By reclining the seat, you also allow access to ventilated mesh around the seat, which will be perfect in the summer. The huge and extendable canopy is perfect for sunny or rainy days as it’s UV50 and also water repellent.

The Joolz Aer offers a sleek design as it has a leatherette handlebar that does not adjust but is on the taller side at 41 inches from the ground, so even the tallest parents will find it comfortable. The handlebar is sturdy, and you can even hang a diaper bag off the handlebar. Are there Cup Holders? The bassinet is a great solution that very few compact travel strollers offer, so it’s a great feature to have as we all know that babies shouldn’t be stuffed in car seats outside of the car for extended periods of time. Joolz Aer Buggy BoardWe’ve carried it on several flights, and it fits fine in the overhead bin. We even have cruised with it, taking it on several buses and boats where it fit under our seats. There is nothing but love for the Joolz Aer in our family.
