Description

We’ve had a few compact strollers over the years, starting with the Maclaren Mark II (nice but doesn’t recline), the Silvercross Jet (great for babies but wobbly with bigger toddlers) and the Babyzen Yoyo (a really good one but bumpy on uneven surfaces). The ProFold is truly one-handed and not at all complicated – I actually folded it down for the first time without even looking at the manual.

The seat itself is not huge - 80 cm in lenght, and it is divided eaqually - 40 cm for seat back and 40 cm for seat and footrest. Now available in a rainbow of new colours with a range of innovative accessories, it’s easier than ever to customise your pushchair to suit your style. The buggy has a reversible and breathable liner made from bamboo fabric, which can be removed and machine washed, so you can keep your stroller looking box fresh.

We have it in Graphite which is a lovely grey shade that looks super stylish with the brown details. If you need a buggy that doesn’t monopolise space in the car boot and can be taken on holiday, the Micralite ProFold may fit the bill. If your toddler weighs twice as much as the pushchair and suddenly leans to the side while you’re pushing then your pushchair will wobble and possibly even tip over. I know we aren't travelling very much at the moment but it’s certainly worth considering for the future! There are so many occasions when I need extra space in the car and would never be able to fit my big buggy in.

Small enough to fit in any car boot or overhead train storage, the ProFold is within the cabin allowance for British Airways, Jet 2 and easyJet.The seat reclining is also a bit difficult to adjust, the clip doesn't slide smoothly along the strap. Also new for 2020, Micralite’s Winter Packs include a water-resistant footmuff with a cosy micro fleece lining, as well as a set of fleece-lined mitts. The Micralite ProFold doesn’t have set recline positions - it has a gradual recline, adjusted with a toggle drawstring at the back of the seat. The Micralite Profold seems to fit the bill, but they don't seem very common so I'm hoping to hear from someone who has one whether you're happy with it? The four-wheel suspension and large back wheels aid its stability and give a smooth ride over a variety of terrain.

The stroller has a full recline, also it has one of the longest footrests I know out of other micro-strollers. The sunshade offers generous UV protection (50+), unzipping to reveal breathable mesh that allows a cool breeze to filter through. The buggy’s new colourway boasts sophisticated grey melange fabrics and coordinating chest and harness pads. We're really tempted to get it for travelling in our campervan where space is at a premium, but worried it won't go the distance on sand/grass/anything that's not a hard surface. David Abbott, Global Head of Brand at Micralite and Silver Cross:‘We could not be more excited to unveil our new Micralite site.I would say this pram is good value for money and would be perfect for traveling, holidays or just as a pram to keep in the car. Silver Cross strollers are just as good quality as their pram systems, they look as luxorious as well. This post is not meant as a negative review about Mutsy Igo, but rather to praise the stroller that I found after it. The Micralite ProFold boasts 20K/20K rated weatherproof fabric which is waterproof to keep baby dry and has a UPF50 rating to ensure your little one is protected from the sun’s rays.
