It’s interesting that the Great Hall table we got for day 21 is exactly the same build as the two tables from 2019’s advent calendar, though with different food options. I don’t know why, but I received 2 wand sprues, which means I have 4 wands, which isn’t a major complain… but thought it was kind of odd. Along the mat is some sort of pathway, and there’s a spin dice to move your minifigures along, with numbered spots that correspond to the Advent Calendar builds.

I haven’t assembled my Privet drive yet…) and I had to peek at this site to figure out the function. Aside from the entrance to Diagon Alley, this is the other most exciting bit of wall in the Harry Potter world – the entrance to Platform 9¾! I really think the last day should be something strongly related to Christmas, so I’d put the Christmas tree here. While you’re here, please also subscribe to the blog if you’d like to find out about other posts which cover LEGO news, reviews and random musings! This was my first Lego advent calendar and I’m so glad I had your insights into the builds and interesting facts. I haven’t been able to respond to every single comment, but I’ve read every single one, and it’s been so much fun counting down the days to Christmas! While I did enjoy some of the builds, and the random Chocolate Frog Cards, I don’t think it compares to previous Harry Potter Advent Calendars, which had a cohesive scene such as last year’s Yule Ball, or even micro models which were a lot of fun. There are 6 minifigures – Harry Potter, Ron Weasley™, Hermione Granger™, Draco Malfoy™, Dudley Dursley and Griphook – plus exciting items and enchanting accessories from the Harry Potter movies.

Each day I’ll open the new window and provide an image or two and my thoughts on the build, with a big wrap up at the end. I was a little disappointed with the Hedwig and chocolate frog as we had already received these in prior year calendars. You’ll discover 6 favourite minifigures plus exciting items and enchanting accessories from the movies – everything you need to play out Harry’s journey from Privet Drive to Hogwarts™ and endless adventures of your own. I think I’m done with Gringotts for now, and can’t wait to leave and explore more of Harry’s journey into the wizarding world! The table has benches on the sides, and has a number of food items – a plateful of cherries, a baguette and a pumpkin.

By cutting down on the amount of gold, the whole vault plus gold could be given in one day rather than over two. Inside the box you will find a collection of 24 jewels and accessories including bracelets, pens, earrings, necklaces, among others! Harry first meets Ron at Kings Cross Station, where he can’t figure out where to find Platform 9¾, and bumps into the Weasley family, so it seems like we’re either in Kings Cross Station, or on the Hogwarts Express, as he gets properly introduced to Ron on the train, and among other things, discovery Chocolate Frogs and the Trading Cards. I didn’t receive any of these sets for free this year – they were all bought by either me, or Cam in the case of the Star Wars one. You can now play the game on the box flap – a very crude version of Snakes and Ladders that sees Harry make his way to Hogwarts, pass all the major milestones, and places in the Philosopher’s Stone.
