Here are a number of runtime tests. I tested the highest 3 modes for flood and throw but didn’t test any of the color modes for runtime.

A red indicator LED will show when the light is running out of battery. Also, the output will decrease when the battery is running low. Unlike the Marauder 2, the Marauder Mini uses the signature magnetic charging system and also has a removable battery. The customised 6500 mAh 32650 lithium-ion battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the torch and plug the USB end into a suitable USB adaptor (5 V 2 A recommended for fastest charging). The indicator light on the magnet will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 5 hours if the power supply is sufficient enough to support the 2 A output, otherwise the cable will output at a lower rate or 1 A or 1.5 A depending on the power supply.

Primarily you’ll be carrying this light by means of the lanyard, which attaches through this “coin slot loop.” Measurements were taken indoors at 5 meters with a professional Hagner E4-X Lux Meter. The Olight Marauder 2 was set to Throw mode (spot light). Mode I will say that the rotary interface here doesn’t quite suit me. The switch seems to be some weird combination of rotary and “speed sensing switch” (there’s a real name for it I’m sure). If you rotate the dial very slowly, either nothing will happen, or you’ll rotate the switch nearly all the way around for onechange in level. In other words, the levels are not specific places on the dial. You rotate until the level changes. The rotary rotates freely; there are no stop points here (that is, it’s not like the rotary on the Olight Olantern Classic 2 Pro, for example. In normal use this is fine, but if you’re trying to dial in specifically to level 4 or whatever, it can be frustrating.

Powered by a customized 24Wh 32650 rechargeable lithium battery, it offers an extended runtime. The tail cap of the Marauder Mini can be removed, unlike the Marauder 2. That means thecell can be replaced, so it can be used again and again. There is yet 1 more switch, and that one is for switching between flood and throw. The center LED is actually used separately from the LEDs on the edge of the flashlight. I like that idea to have this option. The single LED has a much longer runtime as well. But anyway, the flood/throw switch is located below the knob. It’s pretty easy to operate in the dark. Compared to the Marauder 2, this light is more compact and holds a lighter weight at only 16oz, which comfortably fits in your hand and feels exceptionally balanced. In comparison to Marauder 2, what are the upgrades? Firstly. Marauder mini hasRGB light and a light color indicator.Secondly. A vibrating charge indication is available for the Marauder mini. And, It uses bottom magnetic for charging.Also.
