Judah decides to try to kill the seemingly immortal Agni by throwing his severed head into the ocean, taking a train there. Also on the train is Togata, another regenerative blessed, and twisted cinephile who has taken an interest in Agni, aiming to make him the subject of a film as director. Togata kills all the Behemdorg soldiers on the train, saving a girl named Neneto from being raped and making her camerawoman. Agni agrees to let Togata film his revenge on Doma in exchange for training. their village alive, Agni feeds them his own limbs. The two siblings have an uncomfortable relationship Anyway... Agni comes across a group of people who have passed through his village, including Doma, an army commander who happens to be blessed with flames that never go out until his victim is dead. Doma is discusted with the human body parts they found in the homes of the villagers, and decides to set the entire village on fire, including Agni and Luna. The difficult part for me with respect to the nihilism, and gradual recision of Agni’s character was that, I really enjoy stories with strong protagonists, one’s that I can identify with, or at least, can identify with their motives and reasons for being. Here, while the story is fantastical and, one can argue, damn near impossible to relate to much of anything going on, for much of the later story I couldn’t fathom, or even remotely understand, what the characters were doing. Or perhaps worse, how they got to thinking what they did and acting how they did with respect to the story prior, and that’s Fujimoto’s fault for the lightening fast pacing. Fujimoto is an incredibly weird person, but he is incredibly talented. The artwork in portrays the harsh world of Fire Punch. Some panels are eerie and haunting, while others are...strange.

The characters are another Fire Punch’s strengths, on the level of Chainsaw Man. The main characters all have incredibly strange personalities, that make them endearing.
