Ten thousand years ago, the Giants battled against the tyrannical Arkeyans for the freedom of Skylands. In a final battle against the Arkeyans, the Giants were shot to Earth as a form of sacrifice, where they’ve been buried underground ever since. As the years passed, these enormous Skylanders were soon considered as a myth. When summoning Giants, they originally jumped down from the sky and damage nearby enemies instead of appearing in their magic moment first. [2] When water levels began rising across Skylands, Dive-Clops was summoned to find the cause of the disturbance. Deep in the depths of the ocean floor, he discovered an underwater water factory pumping out huge amounts of water. Dive-Clops was then suddenly brought aboard a patrolling submarine, became overpowered by a pirate crew led by Blubberbeard. The former pirate captain had grown tired of losing as a pirate, so he formed a new plan and recruited his fellow walruses, Brawl & Chain and Brawlrus, to join him. Blubberbeard planned on flooding the Skylands with his underwater water factory to easily rule over it, and Dive-Clop would witness the the villain's plan unfold. There is a glitch in Rumbletown in a small area before the arena where if the player preforms Eye Fly, the eyeball will fall off the island to an extent.Undead creatures are collectively referred to as "ghouls" in most media, though the namesake species exists as seen with Ghost Roaster and Chopscotch.

What started as an evenly matched staring contest between them escalated into a full scale conflict that lasted over a hundred years. Eventually, the unusual enemies became bored of fighting and declared the war a draw. That would've been the end of it, had they not realized that combining their strength would make them almost unstoppable. The eyeball popped himself into the space where the giant's head should have been, and Eye-Brawl was born. Some Skylanders introduced or mentioned in Skylanders Academy are currently not playable in the games. It is unknown if some of them are still on the team.Undead was also associated with dark or grayish shades of purple colors before the introduction of Dark.
