Neighbours is a long-running Australian television soap opera created by television executive Reg Watson. Finally fans can relive the Neighbours experience from the very beginning with From the Beginning Volume 1. Neighbours has already hit the 4000th episode mark and looks set to continueserving up the laughter, tears and drama that has taken the world by storm.

In Canada, CFMT-TV in Toronto broadcast Neighbours on weeknights at 11:00 pm, starting in September 1990. It was first broadcast on the Seven Network on 18 March 1985 and currently airs on digital channel 10 Peach. Watson, who worked for the Grundy production company, decided to make his show appeal to both Australia and Britain. The series primarily centres on the residents of Ramsay Street, a short cul-de-sac, and its neighbouring area, the Lassiters complex, which includes a bar, hotel, cafe, police station, lawyers' office and park. Each webisode ended with a "yes" or "no" answer, which then took viewers to a different video in the style of a choose your own adventure.Forster wanted Neighbours: Zombies on Ramsay Street to be different from Neighbours, and said the visuals would reflect the dark nature of the story. The webisodes were shot using a Red Scarlet camera by digital producer Ric Forster, which gave them "a different, edgier look and feel" compared to the main show.

On 18 September 2014, it was confirmed that Dan Paris had reprised his role as Drew Kirk for the series. Through its entire run in Australia, Neighbours has been screened as a 21-minute episode each weeknight in an early-evening slot. The characters, the scenes, the major events – all that is Ramsay Street is contained on this 90 minute 10th Anniversary special.The first of these releases was The Neighbours Wedding Collection in 1989 which covered the first three major weddings in 64 minutes. The titles show characters in a variety of familiar settings around Erinsborough and ends with a look at Ramsay Street from above.
