Description

Finished crochet giraffe is approximately 6.5″ tall from top of head (excluding ears, etc) to bottom of feet. R5: *sc in next 3 st, sc2tog. Repeat from * around, changing to gold yarn in the last stitch (12 st). Insert safety eyes between rows 8 and 9, leaving 3 stitches in between the eyes. Adjust stuffing and stuff the remainder of the head. To make our Gigi giraffe pattern you will need some gold or yellow yarn and some brown yarn from your scrap yarn stash. We’ll start off with a magic ring and your favorite crochet hook and then work some basic crochet stitches such as single crochet and slip stitch. Gigi has safety eyes, but you could easily embroider eyes instead. As you work the pieces, be sure to leave a yarn tail because we’ll be sewing the finished pieces together

SUPER STRECTHY HAIR - GiGi has soft and stretchy bright yellow hair - watch it jiggle as she moves to the music! You won’t be able to stop stretching her jiggly hair! Its super sensory fun! P urchase an ad-free printable version of Gigi the Crochet Giraffe Tamingo Pattern Here Crochet Giraffe What’s a Tamingo? Great question! The word “Tamingo” is a made up word. It was my son’s mispronunciation of the word “Flamingo” when he was a young boy. Since I love the word, I thought I’d use it for my fun collection of small crocheted friends. These cute crochet dolls are a mere 6.5″ tall. They are perfect for clutching in a little one’s hand. This cute crochet giraffe will also prop nicely up in your office at work. I won’t tell.Using brown yarn, embroider several rectangles or triangle shapes using straight stitches to represent spots, randomly on the body, legs, arm and head. Note that giraffe also looks quite adorable without any spots at all, should you desire to skip this step! INBUILT MUSIC – GiGi includes three in built tunes for three different vibes! It’s super funky music perfect for a disco diva! Listening to the catchy music is sure to make you want to dance too! Copy GiGi’s super dance style and shake your booty too! Who has got the best moves?! R6: With gold yarn, sc in next 3 st, [(sc2 tog) three times], sc in last 3 st (9 st). Stuff the feet.

Flatten ears, fold in half and then sew ears between rows 3-4 on either side of head. Position ossicones (horns) between the ears and sew down on top of head. Lightly stuff muzzle and sew under eyes over rows 9-11. Facial Features:In the next row, the legs are crocheted together and form the bottom of the body. Position the legs so that they are in the correct position with both feet facing forward. Use a stitch marker to mark where they meet in the middle. This stitch marker holds the center stitch from each leg to each other. Also make sure that you also have a stitch marker in the last stitch worked in the leg just completed. This stitch will be the last stitch worked in this row. R6: *Sc, sc 2 tog. Repeat from * twice, then sc in last st. (7 st) Fasten off, leaving a long strand for sewing. Ossicones (horns) (Make 2): R2: Continuing to work in the round, *sc in next 2 st, 2sc in next st, repeat from * around (24 st) Giraffes spend only 20 minutes to 2 hours a day sleeping (can you imagine all the fun things you’d have time to do with that sleep schedule?) MEET GIGI! - Meet GiGi the Giraffe – the Queen of the dancefloor! GiGi is the 12” electronic Giraffe with full body movement and music. Watch her dance and shake her booty to the beat of the funky music. She even comes wearing a pair of cool party sunglasses for a total disco diva look!

R7-10: sc around (9 st). Fasten off for first leg. After 2 nd leg, do not fasten off, continue to body below. Stuff the rest of the legs. Body: R14: *sc in next st, sc2tog. Gauge is not important in this pattern. You may use other weights of yarn. Adjust hook size to fit your needs. With the yarn and hook size given, my gauge is about 4 single crochet stitches to an inch.
