It was over one and a half years ago when I first tried Colour Freedom (you can read the review here), and I did really like them, it just wasn’t cost-effective with the look that I was trying to achieve at the time. The consistency is thick enough that it coats each hair without any dripping and the colour straight from the tube is WOW. Which is amazing to say the least bit I was expecting it to go lighter quicker and now seek for lighter ends on my hair! I’m using Vermilion Red from Crazy Colour or Direction when my roots are freshly bleached, which tends to come out a tad too orange, so I have to dye it twice to get the look I want.

I’ll be honest, before handing over my cash I did put a shout out on twitter for any reviews but they’re very new to the market. Of course I can’t just dye over dark brown hair with semi permanent: the colour won’t take and it’d just be a complete waste of money. I’ve been a Renbow Crazy Color user for years (after a falling out with a Stargazer dye) but while wandering through my local Superdrug, I couldn’t help but pick up a box from the new Colour Freedom range. I’ve found that I didn’t top up between main dyes this time, but the colour runs a lot and everywhere.
