Lloyd, John; Roberts, Michael (1989). The Pimm's Book of Polo. Trafalgar Square Pub. pp.11, 181, 190. ISBN 9780943955179. Strawberries, cream, pimms… these are all things synonymous with Wimbledon and I decided to encompass Pimms and the fruit of the championships to create these amazing sweet, light and utterly divine cupcakes!

I am not someone with lots of patience when tasty things are coming out of my kitchen! Just look at that pretty pink marbling from the Strawberry Pimms syrup: Pimm's has become as synonymous with British Summertime as picnics in the park, barbecued burgers and Wimbledon and it's certainly going to feature at our Coronation street party - but do you know how to make Pimm's properly? We spoke to experts to find out how to get the classic Pimm's recipe just right. What is Pimm's made of? I created this Classic Pimm’s Cup recipe in partnership with Nielsen-Massey. As always, all opinions are 100% mine. Thank you for supporting the brands that make it possible for me to continue to create great recipes for you! I’ll be enjoying these cupcakes again next week whilst watching #Wimbledon2017 from the sofa. I wish I could have been there this year, but sitting with Pimms and strawberries from the comfort of your own home is the next best thing in my opinion! Meanwhile, make the topping. Blitz the almonds in a food processor until fine, then tip in the flour, sugar and 1 pinch of sea salt. Cut the butter into cubes, add to the food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Pimm's No. 3 Cup [1930s–1970; 2004–present] is based on brandy; it was phased out in 1970, and relaunched in 2004, now infused with spices and orange peel and called Pimm's Winter Cup.

The hot, boozy, caramelised strawberries contrast with the cold strawberry rippled ice cream and the fresh strawberries give another texture to this delightful treat. How do you eat your strawberries and cream?

Mix it up: Why you should forget about tomorrow's election and give Pimms your vote instead". CityAM. 5 May 2015 . Retrieved 30 June 2021. Thanks to its scrumptious taste and fruity flavors, it is a hit at parties, and it is matched with mint and ginger ale to heighten its strengths. Pimm's No. 5 Cup [1930s?–1970] was based on rye whisky. It was originally designed as an alternative to Pimm's No. 2 for the Canadian market. [17] Its popularity there during the postwar period encouraged Pimm's to sell it in the British market and overseas to Europe and America as well. The Pimm's Winter Cup and Pimm's Vodka Cup were reintroduced in 2004. Pimm's Winter Cup is a seasonally available version of Pimm's No.3 infused with spices and orange peel. Pimm's Vodka Cup [2] is a reintroduction of Pimm's No.6, but is made in limited quantities. Fill your highball glass with ice, pop in the mint and chopped fruit, pour in the Pimm's, top with lemonade and stir.
