I've seen and heard many jokes that involve subjects such as rape, pedophilia, death, necrophilia, and many other "taboo" subjects. I bought it for some neighbors who are new parents, upon receipt, they called me and could not even talk...took me a while to figure out if they were mad about it...turns out they were having a fit of laughter!

This book is hilarious. Hand it to an unsuspecting coworker who thinks this is actually a child's book and watch their face as they figure out the gag...PRICELESS!The character development is hilarious, if you pay attention, the main characters from each book make cameo appearances in the other books...too funny. Even if insult or hatred are implied or even overt elements of the joke, I don't care. I want to know who those kind of people are. Self identifying through such humor just makes it easier A couple of the clips I've seen there are from comedians I've seen elsewhere. A lot of it is extremely funny to me.

The rhyming and flow of this children’s book is perfect... along with the outlandish content of course! they are going to think it is a book about a girl with a pet beaver...who needs a barber, such a cute storyline! If you are going to get butthurt over every joke you consider inappropriate, o think you will be wasting a lot of time and energy. Most of the time they are teaching moments that make great points. Sometimes it's just the situation that is funny. As long as it makes somebody laugh and no insult is implied, I see no harm.

If Brenda was offended that's too bad, since there are many people named Brenda and I'm reasonably certain she (our Brenda) was not the inspiration for the title.
