sugar – I tend to switch between caster sugar and light brown soft sugar, but either work perfectly

The full method for making these Mars Bars Brownies is below. There are detailed steps and I've also included plenty of clear photographs so you can see how they should look as you go along. If there’s any bakes you’d like me to give a go then please leave a comment below or message me on my social media platforms, I’m always open to suggestions! This recipe for these Mars Bar brownies is sort of like making a Mars bar sandwich. First, you'll make a gooey chocolate brownie batter. Then you'll pour half of it into a lined baking tray. NOT COLD is what you want when you serve them. (Sorry, I was trying to be clever but that’s just bad grammar.) I prefer to have them closer to room temperature, because then the brownies are soft and fudgy, and the glaze is very easy to cut through with a spoon. You may not agree…keep tasting them to see what you prefer! 🙂Keep an eye on the size and shape of your air fryer – the tin you need to use may vary so timings may vary slightly I use this air fryer, and I love it.However, this recipe is catered for this particular sized air fryer, in terms of the size of the tin I use. This recipe uses a 7″ round tin because it fits perfectly inside the basket of the air fryer. As air fryers come in different shapes and sizes, the tin you need to use may vary depending on what will fit.

Next, you'll add a layer of caramel sauce and mars bars. Then you'll cover it with the rest of the batter and top with some more caramel. When the blondies had cooled enough to be handled, I turned them out and sliced them into 16 squares, drizzled some melted chocolate on top and added a piece of Galaxy to each slice. Amy's top tips Is your choice! Even though Galaxy Chocolate gives a special twist, you can try out different chocolates you like. and Make it with the same steps in my recipe. Can I make these brownies gluten-free? Melt the butter and chocolate together in a large heavy-based pan. In a bowl or large wide-mouthed measuring jug, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla. Measure the flour into another bowl and add the salt.

With a stand mixer, beat eggs until foamy (about 3 minutes).Mix in sugar, vanilla, and melted chocolate. Add flour and salt and stir until incorporated.

Make sure to use dark chocolate in the base brownie, but the chips can be whatever flavour you fancy At this point, I very carefully folded in the flour by hand. When adding flour to cake, blondie or brownie batter I always stop mixing when I can no longer see white streaks of flour. This stops the texture from becoming heavy and dense.Feel free to use either kind in these brownies, but if you can, try and get your hands on original UK Mars Bars because UK chocolate is the best! For the homemade brownies layer, whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and espresso powder in a medium bowl. Set aside. If you have an electric or stand mixer I recommend you use it for whisking the sugar and eggs into the blondie batter. This produces a really light and beautiful texture. What's not to love about smooth Galaxy chocolate with an oozing caramel centre? Put that deliciousness into the centre of a blondie and you have baked goods on a whole new level. When you fold the melted chocolate/butter, and flour/ cocoa powder into your egg mousse mix, you want to be as careful as you can, because if you go and beat it all in you might cause your mixture to be too runny.
