The technicalities felt the same but I found the stage to become more rounder giving off a more 360 degree dilemma. Quite often you will also find Hi-Fi equipment offering direct connectivity to devices with Android and iOS to simplify the connectivity process. The ie200 sounds almost like its big brother ie600 with a more tonal warmth and less resolving technicalities. Overall, we found the sound signature balanced and beautiful; it's ideal for evaluating mixes or simply hearing every detail from your favorite tunes. I didn’t think much of it at the time but the more I time I spend with the IE200 and IE600 the more I’m starting to agree. More distinctly, the IE 200 is tuned differently above 5kHz, and with silicone ear tips it boosts above 10kHz more than IE 600.

All in all the bass region is pleasantly fun sounding packing a good amount of slams and punches which hits you hard and softly at the same time.

The Sennheiser IE 200 are dearer than many options, including the brand’s CX 100 and CX 300S, but these aren’t headphones aimed at your casual listener. In the mid bass region the bass lines have a dense and staggering notes hitting nicely not so forward but easily listenable.

The technicalities specially the stage felt more immersive and closer retrieving more details as the elements felt more approachable. Generally, on the outer setting the stage widened, the treble became more extended, and bass was reduced. Together with the cable, the ie200 includes two different types of eartips: foam and silicone, which come in small, medium, and large sizes. Fit is crucial for in-ear headphones and the IE 200 are both comfortable to wear for long periods and remain secure in your ears.

On tracks with intense sub-bass content, like The Knife’s “Silent Shout,” they deliver an accurate low-frequency response. The Bluetooth module is slightly clunky on the IE 100 PRO Wireless, but it works with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Low Latency Bluetooth codecs. There is a solid level of dynamism present in Murder and The Orient Express from the Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning soundtrack, but while there’s energy and flow to the track I don’t really hear it ‘soar’ as such and with quick, rhythmic tracks such as this the earphones can lack a degree of outright excitement. This leaves you with a pretty nice sounding high mids and treble response that largely follows our headphone preference curve, except with a little less ear gain from 3-4kHz.
