It offers a very solid, five-feet, wheeled base that feels fully planted (and yet very moveable) both on carpet and hard floors. This connects to the upper portion via a high-quality pneumatic stem. The V3 now comes with three options of this for different heights: Petite (140cm – 159cm), Standard (160cm – 179cm) and Tall (180cm – 210cm). When I was first sent the Supreme V3 for review, supply chain issues meant that I received the Tall stem later, by which time the default Standard stem was fully wedged and not coming out. Still, the standard stem suited my 189cm height just fine. The new Petite stem will suit shorter people who don’t like their legs dangling off the ground. He was Hague Convention Liaison judge for international cases involving child abduction between 2008 and 2014 and also served as Chairman of the Council of Law Reporting for Northern Ireland. Lord Stephens was educated at Manchester University. He was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 1977, the Bar of England and Wales in July 1978 and to the Bar of Ireland in 1996. He was appointed as a High Court Judge in Northern Ireland in 2007. He was assigned to the Family Division from 2008 and to the Queen's Bench Division from 2014.

A mid-range chair with high-end ambitions

Her overall responsibilities are exercising the judicial and administrative functions under the Rules and Practice Directions for the UK Supreme Court (UKSC) and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC). She is also responsible for the active management of all internal processes relating to appeals, costs and judgments for the UKSC and JCPC. Prior to his appointment as President, Lord Reed previously served as Deputy President of the Supreme Court from 7 June 2018 and was originally appointed as a Justice on 6 February 2012. Given the Supreme V3's mid-range price point, the amount of adjustability on offer is incredibly impressive. Pretty much every section of the chair can be callibrated to your exact requirements.

Sanj is a qualified accountant and was previously the Head of In Year financial management and external reporting in HMRC. He led on the financial forecasting for the department exercising effective financial management and control of the budgets. He led the production of the monthly HMRC management accounts setting out the projected spending position for the year making appropriate recommendations on any actions deemed necessary to ensure HMRC lives within its budget whilst maximising performance delivery. Sanj also had other roles in HRMC, including being a Senior Finance Business Partner and Finance Director of different business groups within HMRC. Sir David Anthony Stewart Richards studied Law at Trinity College, Cambridge. He was called to the Bar in 1974 and took Silk in 1992. Whilst at the Bar, Sir David’s principal area of practice was company law and corporate insolvency. ErgoTune claims this is a chair to relax in – largely due to the recline mode – but this is where I struggled most. The recline feature was just too loose for my long, heavy body. However, this won’t be an issue for smaller, lighter people.

A Welsh speaker, Lord Lloyd-Jones was appointed to the High Court in 2005. From 2008 to 2011 he served as a Presiding Judge on the Wales Circuit and Chair of the Lord Chancellor's Standing Committee on the Welsh Language. In 2012 he was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal and from 2012 to 2015 he was Chairman of the Law Commission. He was appointed as the inaugural President of the Law Council of Wales in October 2021.
