Rather than opening with blasts of blue notes that are thin and cold and piercing aquatics, this pairs that ozonic with red fuzzy juicy zingy sweet/bitter grapefruit zest that balances and rounds off the sharp edges of blueness. I usually find “blue” fragrances to be too harsh, synthetic, chemical, but this brilliantly uses very zesty grapefruit as/with the blue note. Due to the notes I was expecting this not to last all that long, but to my surprise it lasted a good 5hrs before it became close to the skin which for a citrusy fragrance I'm more than happy with. This isn't a wild niche fragrance adventure, it's simply a bold, masculine designer scent made in the 2020s.

Some people said things of some of the other popular DG Light Blue flankers that they were similar to other fragrances, I have so many bottles at this point and don't really want more overlap, so I picked Light Blue Forever. Unfortunatley it doesn't last long, although this can always be remedied with spraying on clothes instead of skin. I'm a big orange blossom and blood orange fan and they definitely stand out here, but that classic LB Windex-lemon is what really hits you. If you've done the same, then I think you should take another smell, because after nearly a year on my shelf it has become something slightly different. It makes me sad that because this is not a copy pasted version of the OG Light blue, people hate on it.A perfect signature scent and entirely unisex, this one feels like it has the potential to be a time capsule in a bottle for the right person. I have and love most of the Light Blue fragrances and this is just as crisp and refreshing as the others. I’ve spent too much on fragrances lately but my sample of this is just killing me, so temptingly bright, natural, and luxurious. For my summer fragrances, I have made 10 ml decants in atomizers to carry with me for reapplication during the day which solves the issue for me.

The bottle seems coherent to me, a sea in which the green vegetation is reflected that gives it the typical green-water color and the gold of the earrings of an old wealthy lady who enjoys the riviera.First hour smells nice then citrus fades (not completely fades) and bitter patchouli with vetiver takes over lasts for about 8(edit) hrs on skin. Delicious yet elegant grapefruit zest that drys down just enough to reveal a subtle grassy musky vetiver. Is like an improved regular Light Blue, starts kind and softly with the apple - lemon really characteristic of its success, but much more creamy and smoother, as it settles the floral edge gives a gentle sweet aura, really giving a womanly side. Do note that Light Blue Forever is grapefruit to the extreme, and as such the cologne is a little one note because that one fragrance note is where all the emphasis is.
