Rarely found in our pubs Golden Pride is a Fuller's special - an exceptionally fine strong ale of immense character and finesse.ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Taste: Delicious flavours of aniseed, caramel, chocolate, rum, woody, treacle with a bitter alcohol warmth finish. Its condition never deteriorates, regardless of a sometimes less than sympathetic pour (never by my own hand). We use Isinglass finings (piscine derived) on our traditional cask ales these are unfiltered and non pasteurised and have a residual level of yeast present which is flocculated and sedimented to the bottom of the cask with the aid of the Isinglass finings.

Long seen as something extra special, Golden Pride used to be gifted to Fuller's landlords at Christmas. S: There's an earthy, fields of barley aroma with an umami oxidised note and some obvious booze in there too.Aaand there is the aftertaste, mirroring the flavor - right when I assumed flavor and taste were disconnected.

Feel: medium to full bodied with the alcohol quite well masked, though some alcohol warmth does pierce through.

None of Fuller’s cask products are vegan due to the adding of Isinglass Finings which includes Oliver’s Island.
