As soon as the hatching process starts, you can hear noises from inside, and the egg will rock from side to side when on a flat surface. It can even learn to talk - to teach your Hatchibabies some words, touch and hold both of it's feet while talking to it.

Each HatchiBaby species has their own secret trick which you can discover by holding the baby of the Baby’s head and touching their forehead sensor twice at the same time.

Using them will get a response from the Hatchimal and they will soothe your Hatchimal when it's upset. Once hatched they will make cute noises and their eyes change colour to show you exactly how they're feeling. Trying his best to follow the instructions to make sure it was cared for, really enjoyed teaching it how to talk and it was the first thing he went to the next morning. Hidden in little packages we found a small brush, baby bottle, flower themed rattle and a 'cuddle buddy'.

You can use the bottle to feed it by popping the teat in between the beak and pressing down gently on the lower beak. When the Hatchibaby hears you, it will respond with more sounds, and you will start to see ‘cracks’ glowing on the surface of the egg. Before the Hatchibaby was born they agreed a name for a boy and a name for a girl and they kept talking to the egg saying they couldn’t wait to meet it.It's many interactive features are really impressive and kept my children playing for quiet some time. To be honest though, I’ve always thought they wouldn’t have that much play value but after reading this I feel more reassured that actually it is something they would play with for a while. Just like when the Hatchibaby was hatching its different eye colours have different meanings and different interactions the children can do with them. Once you’ve mastered playing with the accessories, you can play other fun games with your hatchimal like peek-a-boo, animal colours and teaching them to talk.

The Hatchibaby also comes with four accessories a hairbrush, rattle, bottle and cuddly toy which the Hatchimal interacts with. It really adds to the excitement when it comes to hatching your egg, just like it does for parents in real life.To find out what this is you need to touch and hold the back of its head and press the forehead sensor twice. They can be woken again by touching the forehead or can be turned off fully by using the simple switch underneath. To discover your baby’s trick, hold the back of their head and touch their forehead sensor twice at the same time. When you see rainbow eyes shine through the shell you know your HatchiBaby is ready to hatch and come and meet you. But for us, BY FAR, the most exciting things were placing the egg down on a flat surface and watching it rock from side to side.
