Description

The undead Eddie appears on all Iron Maiden album covers and has had the most diverse looks over the years. Considered by many fans to be a member of the band, he was created by Derek Riggs in the 1970s. As you can see there is another Eddie 146 but for “Piece Of Mind” you can also find this Pop as a metallic gold edition. The Iron Maiden Funko Pop Wave 2 continues with a version of Eddie that is really just his torso and head bobbing around

Killers Eddie” Common Funko Pop and Limited Edition GITD Hot Topic Exclusive (500 PCS) and GITD Special Edition and Metalic Gold Somewhere in Time” Eddie – Iron Maiden and Stranger in a Strange Land” Eddie Chase Variant- Iron Maiden

The first Iron Maiden Eddie Pop on this AFG list is simply known as “Iron Maiden Eddie” and he really wouldn’t look out of place amongst the Marvel Zombie Pops. Eddie is a pretty weird guy. Not only is he a magnificent mascot for one of the best musical groups out there, but he gets to explore places that the rest of us only dream of.

Iron Maiden Funko Pop “Killers Eddie” and Hot Topic Exclusive, Special Edition and Metallic Gold version Wave 2 concludes with the “Nights of the Dead Eddie” Eddie is in full demonic zombie mode holding a pistol and a skull-topped cane. The album Piece of Mind was released in 1983 giving us a withered lobotomized Eddie and Funko has given us a great version in this Iron Maiden wave 1 Pop. Inspired by the punk movement, Eddie features a decaying face because the “youth of the time was being wasted and thrown away.” The common version of the “Number of the Beast Pop” is shown below but just like the “Killers Eddie”, there is also a Hot Topic Special Edition that is available which again is limited to just 5000 Pcs. Both Pops stand out in their own right and although they are numbered the same they have different titles making them both strong buys for metal fans and collectors. Eddie still wins over fans all over the world today, and for sure, he’shaving a good time, especially now that he’s free from the 2D world of album artwork! So here are the pops unveiled today:

The “Stranger in a Strange Land Eddie” chase variant is obviously that little bit more collectible and hard to find. The designer tried to find a band that would agree to adopt Eddie as their mascot for almost a year and a half until Maiden asked to meet him. Iron Maidens’ second album was released in 1981 and has one of the most iconic Eddie covers to date. Eddie is shown wielding a blood-splattered axe and this is depicted in great detail with this Pop.
