His other works include Gone for Good, The Innocent, The Woods, Hold Tight, Caught, Stay Close, Six Years, Missing You, The Stranger, Fool Me Once, Home, and Don't Let Go. Cut to eight years later: Beck is a young physician working with ghetto kids in Manhattan, and Elizabeth, we learn, is dead, victim of a serial killer known as KillRoy.

At their meeting, Gilbert describes his attachment to his son, who he says, "rots underground, while she may still be alive. Alex then hears Margot's cry for help, swims to shore, and is knocked unconscious as he attempts to exit the water using the ladder on the dock. The books were described as fast-paced, though I can't say so for myself, especially for "Gone for Good".I used to love reading books to movies and since Tell no one is unusual in that it's an American author and setting, but French movie, I thought it'd be great to read, and I was not wrong. When the signal becomes clear again, we learn that Margot's father then disposed of the body to implicate a kid named Helio Gonzales who lived at the home of the childrens' trust.

I am not, perhaps, the best audience for twist endings - I very rarely like them - but if they're your thing then you'll probably enjoy these two thrillers. This was a fast-paced read with some really evil bad guys (Asian Wu with his killer hands) and lots of action and suspense. He claimed to be passive and sensitive, which we never saw (what, is being a doctor to "ghetto-garbed" patrons supposed to make us think you're Jesus? He is told by the coroner that the records are not filed there and that he would have to formally request them, which he does. He claimed his only mistake was that he forgot to remove the safe deposit box key from the man who had taken it from Margot's purse. We believed wholeheatedly about what the author tried to tell, but after that, he revealed a distrustful evidence making us reconsider our thought again and again till the end. In an unpredictable, fast-moving suspense drama, the past is connecting with the present at breakneck speed. The story line is a man is in love with the heroin of the book but she is interested instead in a very bad man, a killer, but doesn’t know it.

Maya Stern Burkett, the heroine of this stellar standalone from Edgar-winner Coben (The Stranger), has suffered more than her fair share of tragedy. And even when the truth is uncovered, what is revealed about her character still leaves us with a pretty limp and floppy impression. There, Margot uses Alex's pocketknife to add an additional hash mark to the many already present below the heart. After receiving a political science degree from Amherst College, he worked in the travel industry in a company owned by his grandfather. When Beck receives a message containing a phrase only Elizabeth should know, he is tormented to tears.I caught my reflection in a building window and couldn't help but notice that I looked utterly ridiculous in my borrowed garb. Here you have a man who's done nothing but the right things expected of him and in the space of 24 hours is consorting with people and doing things he would never have considered as an option the day before. I liked Beck's friends that helped him out along the way, like Tyrese, a drug dealer from the streets.

Knowing what makes Elizabeth so special to him by showing us would raise the stakes (and therefore our investment) even more for Beck and his uncovering of the truth.

The book was that much more exciting because I didn’t know what it was about and read the prologue with no clue as to where it was going. As Margots father continues to tell the story, the scene changes to another location where the police are listening to the story via a wire worn by Alex. While both the Myron Bolitar series and the standalone Harlan Coben books have their appeal, they do cater to somewhat different reader groups.
