He made some great points about the evils of rulers - once the fighting is done, does the common man really care? It would keep the interest of a girl or boy, and there's so much to discuss - girls marrying at 13, the power of King Henry VIII and the church/state issues, the idea of a page boy to a baby prince, why so many people were so poor, what prison would have been like. S. Card's sci-fi and fantasy novels (including the five that mirror The Book of Mormon without knowing it).

He runs away from the court, desperate and penniless, and wanders helplessly through the busy, dangerous streets of London. The Guardian, in their review ‘Say Hello to TV’s Cuddliest Spy’, described the series as a “gripping. Turns out, the girl is an old guy using some illusory science/magic and he makes his girl image naked, starts straddling Lanik so that she can get close enough to stab him. His characters face difficult ethical questions, and the result tends to be an interesting exploration of the issues raised, wrapped up in excellent storytelling. His distraught father leaves, and his aunt, the cold, ambitious Lady Carew, arrives, determined to use William to further her husband’s political ambitions. In a world where these metals is exceptionally rare, the nation that controls the supply holds the keys to power. Ridiculous plots destroy what could have been a good show, the twists are so silly and childish they are well beyond belief. There were some funny parts as well for example the jokes people made behind King Henry or the way court people did. I talked to many people who knew a great deal more than I did about the way rich and poor people lived in the early fifteen hundreds, the food they ate, the clothes they wore, the daily life. It allows the reader to consider how emotive and life changing that event would have been for people at that time.

By his own count, he has re-written about 10% of the novel, maintaining the plot and simply refining the storytelling.

Treason is a Historical Association Primary Shortlist recommendation and is a School Zone readingzone Librarian’s Book choice ***** “…a masterclass in historical fiction for children. It was a remarkable story about what could eventually happen when the scientific elites of an intergalactic government are exiled to a planet with limited resources away from the rest of humanity. The premise of this novel is the banishment to the seemingly metal-poor planet Treason of a group of people who attempted to create rule by an intellectual elite.
