I very much appreciate the captain's special study room - that you can open and reveal the insides and the study - that was very neat. Brickset, the Brickset logo and all content not covered by The LEGO Group's copyright is, unless otherwise stated, ©1997-2024 Brickset ltd. and also the displayability and playability of the item is pretty cool - this will definitely one of the most popular items on my soon to be constructed Lego Collection shelf. With five boat hull pieces the size of the box can be justified, but it still seems a bit light on the contents.

Connor was impressed that the claw is able to grasp standard rod parts and was sure to test this capability as soon as the figure was complete.I had lots of fun assembling it 1 bag after the other - next thing I know I have sat around 2 hours and I have already finished the boat. Because of this I’m always just a little surprised and pleased when a toy will actually fire a projectile.

I have to say the box art is a little deceptive as well, featuring both cannons on one side of the ship, leaving their starboard side completely defenseless. It includes Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Will Turner, Maccus, and Bootstrap Bill Turner minifigures. Like I said though it can be fixed with moving the button piece on the end of the rope piece further up on the grey 4x1 flat piece on the upper mast. We aren’t entirely sure whether Lepin had made any improvements on the ship as the review photos were taken in Sept.

The minifigs look very similar to their movie counterparts - it is amazing how they do this with the same mold of plastic (body hands legs) and some kind of different head gear (hat, hammer head, wig and caps). Prepare to set sail on a high seas adventure with the Black Pearl, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Set. This review is from two perspectives: The jaded, overly critical analysis of a long time LEGO enthusiast, and mine.

The set develops fine motor movement, and spatial awareness in the building - and massively builds confidence in the achievement of having completed it. This figure was an instant classic from the moment it first appeared in prototype form at Comic Con in 2010.

We're not affiliated with or owned by The LEGO Group, WBIE, Disney, or any other company we talk about here. In 2011, The LEGO Group licensed and launched the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean theme and, as expected, one set was dedicated to this infamous ship. C’mon, even Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl could be improved (perfect as it is).Davy belongs aboard his own ship, the Flying Dutchman (which hopefully will come to the POTC line someday as well). We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. One thing I didn't like, But there was a quick fix was the front MAST/Sail the wire rigging to position the sail.
