The pandemic and its effect on the skin thanks to mask-wearing and constant stress also changed the way Koreans approach their skincare. Maskne and other sensitivity issues made people look for extra gentle, minimalist formulas, with previously more “low key” soothing ingredients such as Panthenol suddenly taking the spotlight. There’s an amazing choice of walking and climbing routes on the property, with over 18 miles of paths to choose from. Five of the Trust’s Munros are found here, including Liathach, peaking at 1,054m (3,456ft), and Beinn Alligin at 985m (3,230ft). These are each an adventure in themselves, but please make sure you are properly equipped before setting off. Among all lines, the DIVE-IN line contains the biggest variety of products, notably cleansers, toners, a serum, cream, face mask and sunscreen. The line is suitable for dehydrated and combination skin, though other skin types may also benefit from its lightweight formulations. If you’re new to Torriden, the best entry point would be to try the DIVE-IN line. DIVE-IN Cleansers Complete your morning skin care routine with the DIVE IN Mild Suncream that offers sun protection of SPF 50+ PA++++. The mineral sunscreen uses zinc oxide to guard skin against UV rays. The non-greasy formula is free of nano-particles, so it’s eco-friendly and suitable for sensitive skin. The zinc oxide offers a slight tone-up effect too. The creamy texture is easy to spread and blends well with your skin. Other Lines from Torriden

The brand’s bestselling DIVE-IN line is formulated with hyaluronic acid in five different sizes (including sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate) to thoroughly hydrate the different layers of skin. This hypoallergenic skin care range also features a patented blue complex made of six blue herbal extracts (namely chamomile, lavender, hyacinth, clary sage, cornflower and borage) to soothe and hydrate skin. Other ingredients that are harnessed in the series include eggplant extract and malachite, an antioxidant that helps calm skin. Turmeric and witch hazel extracts can also be found in the DIVE-IN line for soothing benefits. But my curiosity got the better of me in the end, and I bought the Dive-In Serum during a big Stylevana sale a few months ago. I’ve been using it on and off since then, and decided it is time to finally share my thoughts about what is arguably the No.1 popular hydrating serum in Korea right now! Torriden Dive-In Serum: So, What’s the Secret of Its Popularity? For that lit-from-within glow, it is recommended to use this serum daily on cleansed and toned face before sealing in the goodness with a moisturizing cream. With regular use, you will notice your skin becoming more hydrated, radiant, and healthy-looking. Torridon has long been a magnet for hikers and climbers, a place of majestic beauty and uncompromising terrain. The Trust’s countryside centre is currently closed for a review and development of future plans, but it’s a great place to start a low-level walk around Torridon and the coast.

So, in summary: the Torriden Dive-In Serum is a perfectly fine, simple hydrating serum. It didn’t do anything crazy for my skin, and in truth, it always feels like I just need a tad more hydration after I use it. However, if you have younger, very sensitive or overall very balanced/normal skin, this could be a lovely addition to your routine. I also feel men will like this one a lot, with its easily absorbable texture and unisex branding. The Dive-In Serum is free from any potentially drying alcohol or fragrance, including the omission of any essential oils. I know this is important to many of you with sensitive skin! However, I have to warn those who may be very sensitive that this contains Witch Hazel extract, which can be triggering for some. As for the added “goodies” besides those great hydrating humectants – well, we’ve got some lovely skin-soothers in here, namely allantoin, madecassoside plus madecassic acid (both centella asiatica compounds) and panthenol. The serum also contains moisturising ceramides.Let me know in the comments: Have you tried the Torriden Dive-In Serum yet? Is there a cult product that everyone loves that you didn’t like or felt “meh” about? The Torriden Dive-In Serum has a very light blue tint, but mostly looks like a near transparent gel when applied to the skin. It is marketed mostly as a deeply hydrating, soothing serum – no more, no less. Torriden Dive-In Serum: My Thoughts on This Cult Product But that's not all - this serum also contains D-panthenol, allantoin, and madecassoside, which work together to soothe irritations and promote a healthy complexion. Say goodbye to redness and irritation as this lightweight serum works its magic on your skin.

Discover wonderful wildlife tours to book and experience in Scotland, including bird watching safaris, whale watching, farm tours and much more! But having tried so many wonderful hydrating serums over the course of the past years, I simply cannot claim that this is the one that blew me away. It is just a tad too simple for my 43-year-old skin, I just need a tad more overall by now. If you are more on the dry skin side, if you have mature skin, and if you are extremely dehydrated, this honestly won’t cut it for you. I feel the Torriden Dive-In Serum is more for younger skin and for those who don’t have extreme hydration needs. It also could work very well for people who are very sensitive and want to keep irritation to a minimum. Because this is where the serum excels, for sure: it is a very fuss-free, straight-forward product that provides simple and fast, basic hydration.

New to the line, the DIVE-IN Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Water boasts a combination of active ingredients to thoroughly cleanse skin of sunscreen, makeup, dirt, sweat and excess sebum in just a few swipes. Hyaluronic acid leaves skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, while panthenol and allantoin soothes skin. Cue the Torriden Dive-In Serum, with its ultra minimalist formula and promise of “safe” ingredients! The main selling point of the serum has always been its use of high quality, lower molecular hyaluronic acid. While higher molecular-sized HA tends to mostly “sit” on the skin, helping to boost skin barrier function and protect skin from outside stressors, lower molecular hyaluronic acid can penetrate more deeply into skin, replenishing hydration and giving a plumping, smoothing effect. The Torriden Dive-In Serum uses 5 types of hyaluronic acid, plus humectant glycerin, betaine and beta-glucan. Part of the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve is on the Torridon estate and, along with other designations, the estate supports an impressive variety of flora and fauna, including important plant colonies, rare mosses and lichens, and the elusive pine marten and golden eagle.

Torridon lies in the shadow of three mountains, each of which are considered among the finest in Scotland. Beinn Alligin, the smallest of the three (although by no means small!), as a fantastic ridgeline traverse and some truly spectacular viewpoints. Beinn Eighe is the bulkiest of the three, and walkers are rewarded with spectacular scenery of Coire Mhic Fhearchair, with its cliffs looming over a lochan. It is here that the tragedy of the 1951 Lancaster plane crash that led to the formation of the modern-day mountain rescue teams. The third mountain, Liathach, is a long, technical walk with over 1300m of climbing and should be taken on only by experienced walkers. Between the three mountains, six Munros (summits over 3,000ft) can be ‘bagged’. We recommend a visit to the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve Visitor Centre, which showcases the mountain peaks, ancient pinewoods, and wildlife including majestic golden eagles found in the area. Torriden’s products mainly rely on the following ingredients to enhance skin health: Hyaluronic acid The Torriden Dive-In Serum has a very light, runny texture, quite watery for a serum, but with that slippery-silky viscous feel that is typical for serums rich in humectants. It doesn’t have any fragrance to it at all and is just generally very “unobtrusive.” I liked how fast it sinks into skin, almost feeling watery once applied. When it comes to accommodation in Scotland, there's a fantastic choice of amazing stays from luxury hotels to glamping getaways.
