In its line of paints, the heller paint color chart has a high quality acrylic range and well covering. The fit won't matter much if you build a diorama of a charred mangled hotel with pieces of the Concorde scattered about. Intricate andcharming, this scale model airplane kit offers a challengingbuild befitting this lightning-quick aircraft. The fuselage is molded in three twopart sections, forward, center, and rear, and capped by separate nose and tail cones.

A traveler able to afford a Concorde flight enjoyed a trans-Atlantic crossing in a bit more than three hours. Airfix doesn't provide a key for the different number flags in each step, so allow me: white number in black box is the part number; black number in white box is the decal number; black number with no box is the color number, which is cross-referenced to the chart on page eight. The kit also has some aftermarket too - Airwaves resin wheels and tyres, Extratech photo etch and newwear paint masks. Serious modelers will want to take more time than the 45 hours I put into mine to improve the fit, clean up mold marks, and perhaps try to make the hinged nose work better. In 1961, these studies resulted in two separate projects, which merged on November 29, 1962 into a single project involving four main companies: Aérospatiale, BAC, Rolls-Royce and SNECMA.The kit comes with paint brushes, small plastic "tinlets" of acrylic paint, glue, and Clearfix brand liquid window material. The Revel kit in 1:72 is a fairly good fit, although watch out for the nose/visor mechanism as its very brittle.

The main wheel well doesn't fit tightly to the wing bottom, but the main doors hide most of the mismatch. F.1:125

In 1956, France and England simultaneously began studies for a supersonic transport aircraft. Airfix's (and Heller's - soon-to-be released with Air France markings) new Concorde kit provides a great addition to the small but significant line of 1/72 scale airliner kits. The fascinating world of aviation can boast numerous different aircraft types amongst its ranks, some of which are familiar to many people and have a case for being regarded as a ‘classic’. Faced with precursors such as Airfix in the 50s, the company Heller stands out and positions itself as a competitor in the market.

Based on a new tooling release of an Air France aircraft by Heller in 2004, the 1:72 scale Concorde was subsequently released by Airfix in 2005 in British Airways guise. The integrity of the mechanism that allows the nose to droop is compromised by a complex design and the combination of soft white and brittle clear styrene. Tens of thousands of flights and the only single crash a result of debris on the runway from another plane. There are two sprues moulded in black styrene for primarily engine parts and the in-flight display stand, one sprue moulded in silver styrene with undercarriage parts, a sprue of vinyl wheels and lastly one sprue for clear parts.
